no, they put almost all the features in the first two snapshots, and have been only putting a few in the more recent ones
/scoreboard and team functionality weren't major features? Quality over quantity, in my opinion. The later snapshots have been improving the things that were added in the beginning snapshots, too.

you're right, I guess when I made the topic I was focusing too much on the little things, the reason I made the topic is because I don't use redstone in survival, and I prefer to play on survival

Well, theres your problem. It is like saying someone who only farmed or redstoned thinks that the adventure update had very few additions,

If you don't like redstone updated than don't use it and enjoy other features. I didn't care about adventure updated because I know I'll not play on adventure maps.
It would be nice to be able to run redstone wires next to each other without them interfering with each other though.
Given that this is going to be the redstone update, the introduction of an insulated form of redstone wire would be great for making more compact mechanisms.
when yesterday's snapshot came out, they mentioned that we may have a potential prerelease of 1.5 in a few weeks.
I feel that they have not sufficiently added enough content for a major update
I thought that was the point. Isn't 1.5 is starting a shift to themed updates which are smaller and more focused on one aspect of the game but more quickly released.
What you want is more content for yourself. If the rest doesn't interest you that's your problem. Mojang can't cater to your personal needs.

It's not guns so it's a small update that I am going to complain about because I think it's small, and I am going to complain about the features because I think they suck, and because I think they suck then everyone else should think that too, and everyone who doesn't agree just sucks.

Well that's stupid.
Now the only thing that slabs are useful for is decoration.
I think that the update gave some true good quality content, but personally, I feel like it isn't quite the large pool of content I imagined coming out of the redstone update. Just doesn't feel like a 'major update' to me. That's just me, though.
Hopefully we get a nice large pool of content within the last few upcoming 1.5 snapshots. There are alot of ideas for redstone related content out there that I imagine would fit Vanilla very well, and make perfect sense. Alot of those ideas should be added.

Did you not see the quote? I was the one defending the new updates.
It may seem like there isn't much content added but the content that they've added this update is very versatile. Judge updates on quality, not quantity.

I know it's the redstone update, but I feel that other aspects of the game were not looked at enough.
anyone feel the same?
EDIT: this post makes me look stupid which i'm not, I know that there is still a few things to come for 1.5, but it's nowhere near the amount of content as 1.4 had
and I also LOVE the new features, I use redstone a lot and the things that were added are very handy, but they just added everything at minecon and stopped. other than the hopper, I would've appreciated a surprise or two.
and It is a large amount of features, just not as spread out as 1.4
when I made the topic I was focusing too much on the little things, the reason I made the topic is because I don't use redstone in survival, and I prefer to play on survival
The way I see it is; One little redstone device can be used for SO many things. And they are adding more Redstone related items just in 1.5 than the game has aquired since it's beginning.
So yeah, not really a HUGE update but I'm assuming a lot of work went into it.
It may not seem that big, but content that they are adding changes a lot and allows so much more possibilities. If you use redstone the content will provide you with a lot of hours of new redstone tinkering. If you aren't into redstone now would be a good time to get into it. These new blocks are making redstone easier to learn and more practical. Its awesome.
Not to mention, they have done a little more work on mobs. Also decoration item in the form of quartz blocks. I'd say I'm content. Also the sheer number of bug fixes is amazing.
There are still more snapshots/pre-releases to come before the actual update.
Speaking of which, does anyone know if 13w06a is coming out anytime soon?
First, complaining about too much in an update, then too little in an update. Mojang is listening to the community more than ever, but all they can do is scratch their heads and wonder "Why the heck is the community this confused?"

This is one of the biggest Redstone advancements since Redstone itself!
Anyone, enough of my nerd gasm. They may release some other things behind our backs.

So? That means nothing.
...but that's just like, my opinion, man.

I'd say 1.5 will be my favorite update in years.
If it is released that is..
If not I agree
