Mojang has made some less-than perfect design decisions, I think we can mostly agree that they're not gods who don't mess anything up.
What you don't understand is that IT'S OUR JOB TO FIND FLAWS IN THE GAME.
Something that frustrates many-most players[let's say the terrain] SHOULD BE IMPROVED! It's not a situation where "it was the right thing to do because mojang did it lol," we have to tell them what we don't like.
Heres what i hate.
"yknow i should just quit the game because jeb doesnt listen to me and only me because i am more important than the rest of the people playing minecraft, i also think they shoould remove smooth ston and dirt and replace the with diamond blocks!!!!!!!!"
I'm sad and slightly mad that they changed the sound engine for the sand. I'd always enjoy placing sand because of the sound it makes. So distinct and unique. Now it's gone. But other than that, Mojang has rarely pissed me off...
Mojang pisses me off for adding stuff, subsequently ignoring the bugs and only fixing it 50 releases later.
They **** me off for continuing with the "do anything and you'll get XP" trend, same with the "do anything and get ubar loot".
Right now, you don't have to mine to get weapons and armor, you don't have to fight to get XP and you don't have to farm to get food. WTF?
After each update after 1.2.5 they have not let me log into my account for at least a day after the update came out. After 1.4.2 they still haven't let me log in. The account has been premium since beta 1.2, they are horrible at keeping track of accounts.
Mojang pisses me off all the time. The other day I needed a ride to the airport and Mojang was all like, "Oh, man, I'd take you, but, uh... I've got something going on this afternoon." And later I find out that Mojang just spent all day toking up on the couch. Mojang also won't stop hitting on my sister. They say it's harmless, that they're just messing around, but it's really starting to get on my nerves. That's my sister, for crying out loud! Oh, and then there's the matter of the ten bucks I loaned Mojang last month. I mean, it's not like ten bucks is going to break the bank for me, but every time I see Mojang they get all shifty and say, "I'll get you next time, bro." It's just the principle of it, you know? I bet they don't even remember why they borrowed the money from me in the first place. Seriously, who goes through four bags of Doritos in one sitting? Freaking stoners.
I can't believe this thread is still alive. Everyone who's posting something negative toward Mojang in this... you are extremely unappreciative towards Mojang, who's giving you free updates to a game you already bought - for $26.95 (or even less than that, if you bought it before the official release)! They have nothing more to gain from you once you've bought the game, yet they still try to make you happy by bringing forth new content.
Thank goodness these forums don't represent the entire human race, or humanity would be screwed ten times over.
Its quite funny you people exspressing your undying loyalty to this game regardless of the innate flaws it posses. For some this game offers something that nothing else does, but this is all the more reason why the regressional improvements are all the more disheartening. Sure Mojang created a fun game, but lets face it their progression needs a little more 'direction'. The ideas are not consolidated and they dont seem to move toward some final envisionment they are trying to achieve and this shows in the game. Why do you think there are so many mods out there? Because people are not satisfied with vanilla as it is.
Heres what pisses me. Mojang has this brilliant game which they opened up to modders which is great. But considering the fact that modding is 'the' major driving force in the continuous sucess of this game and yet they recieve no form of support or compensation is pathetic. Take Valve Inc. for example, they sell the products of the modders (which is essentially what Mojang is doing when they distribute the game) yet they reimburse 20% of the fees. Yet Mojang continuosly feeds of the hard work of others while existing as an abrasive towards them when they add sensless updates that includes fraction of the content contained in other mods. What they should be doing is making a more open standard format for the game and only updating it to allow for more possibilities in modding and furthermore create an online market where they sell the mods content and split the profits with the modders. Im sorry to give this comparison to you loyalists but Mojang can in all truthfullness be compared to a slave driver working a shoddy chariot with the Title 'MINECRAFT' branded to it with their slave modders pulling them around. Thats what pisses me.
It pisses me off how Mojang continues to give free updates, even though ungrateful, pissed off whiners beg them to return to Alpha and make posts on Minecraft Forum about how much they hate everything added to Minecraft since 1.2.5. Mojang, what a bunch of jerks.
I hate every update they made after the one in the "Cave game tech test" video. The ability to place blocks just killed it for me.

I diss like how they add stuff 2 or 3 updates down the road that was a mod someone made, potatoes, now fireworks. It is java and inherently open source, but really? I wish they would add the promised content, mod API, better rendering and sounds before adding content to the game the hard working modders have already made.....
Minecraft lost is way with Jeb.
Minecraft is suposed to be a all squared survival game.
I am constantly searching for the early's versions.
We must return to that age.
now it's only anvils, plants, masks an end.
Jeb if you are reading this.
Wow. I mean really Curse. We need that downvote button.
Jeb IMO is much more consistent with Minecraft's features.
