I made a house in a swamp, the slime noises have been driving me nuts too. I don't mind that they are more common now and it gives something more interesting for swamps, but its a little excessive at this point, the amount of slimeballs filling up my inventory is a tad silly.
Unlike cave slimes, swamp slimes pay attention to light level when spawning just like other nighttime mobs. If you don't want them in your swamps, you have the option of lighting it up.

First I've heard of this. I have some very unhappy server players that have been building in a swamp for the last six months. Do they follow the same light level as usual, 7 and below?
They should make swamp slime spawn the same as superflat slime spawn, right now It is still very rare for me to run into a slime even with my entire world being an endless swamp.

Yep! 7 and below, just like zombies, creepers, skeletons, etc.

I personally like that there is alot more slimes in the swamps, i finally finished my sticky piston prodcution... but i think that instead of big ones, there should be the small ones, spawning not as often as they do now, that way there arent so common, but they arent as rare as to corner someone into building a slime farm if you want sticky pistons.
The biggest problem with slimes is the sound they make is way to annoying and frequent. Since before you used that to find them, now that they are a more common mob they need to cut down on the annoying sound.
They need to reduce how many spawn in swamps. I made the mistake of setting up camp in a swamp on my new map and it is flippin' annoying. Slimes make up 60% (just a guesstimate) of all mobs at night in the swamp. I'm currently trying to relocate to a nearby jungle in hopes that I don't have to deal with the slime sound anymore.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy.

Perhaps limited by X number at a time and Y number per night.
