Bug name: placing double slabs causes damage value to be set to zero Version: release 1.4.4 and later Details:
I recognized that in the minecraft code with version 1.4.4 there is a change in that when placing double slabs the damage value of the block is set to zero regardless of its value before placing.
In the code (I looked at the code with MCP) there is logic for handling the damage value for single slabs on placing, but not for double slabs, its just set to zero.
When one wants to place a double stone slab with id 43:6 it gets changed to 43:0.
This was not the case upto version 1.4.2.
As the block 43:6 is part of the vanilla minecraft I consider this a bug/unintended side effect of this new function handling the damage value on placing slabs.
I am aware, that one can not craft the block with 43:6 in the vanilla minecraft. But why should the code change the damage value, even if the block was crafted with an additional recipe added with a simple mod?
Possible solution: The function setting the damage value to zero for double slabs gets the damage value as a parameter. A simple fix for the above issue is to replace the zero with the damage value passed as parameter. Then the double slab is unchanged on placing. I verified this with the MCP.
System: Vanilla minecraft with latest java 7 (also java 6) on winxp or win7.
I've been searching for a 'fix' to this, before 1.4 as mod you can /give 43:6 double step that special block and place it for looks, now when it's placed it turns into the default doublestep and not the special one.
I mentioned to my Members that I'd put this special rare block up for sale in our Admin Shop, but can't anymore. Placing the 43:6 in an item frame does show as it was.
And using world edit shows the block as it was as well. It's just manually placing it turns into doublestoneslabs

Bug name: Going out of Sneak when placing a sign Version: 12w50a Details:
While using the new shift click feature to place a sign on right-clickable blocks, I noticed that I stop sneaking after clicking "done" when entering a sign message. Like this:
Sign Gui opens (still holding shift)
TYPE LETTERS or not (shift still pressed down)
click "done" (still haven't taken finger off shift key)
walk around at full speed; fall off of blocks (finger's like a good husband to shift key)
System: Vanilla minecraft with latest java 7 on windows 7.
Bug name: Item Frame glitches Version: 12w50a Details: When you put an item with Damage Values (Like Firework star or an enchanted book), if you middle click in creative, the item losses it's damage values. Also when you right click to turn it the item gets darker.
Bug Name: Cats won't move

Details: On exactly the same versions and same save files... on the logged in game the cats sit and nothing I do will make the get up. On the Off Line game the cats play nice and will sit on a right-click and get up and play on a right-click. The problem ONLY happens while logged in.

Bug name: Fearless Villagers Version: 12w50b Details: I just noticed this after getting back from a bit of spelunking. I noticed it was getting close to evening, but wasn't dark yet, so I headed back to the village, ran some errands in the house I'd commandeered--and then stepped out again to find these guys stargazing! I've put some work into making the village safe at night by setting up a wall and placing torches, but they still seem a bit ballsy to me, just standing around like this. Bug name: Invisible Produce? Version: 12w50b Details: It's a bit hard to tell without going frame-by-frame, but of the 9 carrots produced (one fell in the water and I didn't find it until after I stopped recording), only about five or six remain visible--while picking up four visible carrots, the number in my inventory goes from 51 to 58. Bug name: Overly Aggressive Fire? Version: 12w50b Details: Went spelunking again--and found a chunk of this house burned away. The only source of fire is the one in the picture, but it seems to have burned wood 3x2x2 blocks away, past a stone half-block. This seems pretty overly aggressive for Normal difficulty, so I wasn't sure if it was part of the recent toughening-up of fire, or some kind of bug. Bug name: Brain-damaged cows? Version: 12w50b Details: I was gathering some cows to start farming them, and I found they weren't willing to jump up one-block rises, and would only go down one block drops if pushed off by myself or by other cows. Also, in addition to stopping and spinning randomly, as has already been documented, they occasionally get stuck on a one-block outcropping or just stop and stare into space forlornly, and sometimes it takes awhile for them to notice the wheat being waved in front of their faces. Not sure if any similar effects are appearing among other animals. Pigs in captivity seem to react just fine to carrots, but they also refuse to jump up one block to get to their favorite food... 1.4.6 pre-release (12/17/12 release), had an unexpected crash. Was jumping into a body of water to attack a skeleton swimming in the same water. While I was coming up to attack, he shot an arrow at me and the game crashed. Seems to be a problem with the arrow and my head >.> This is Survival on normal, large biomes, no cheats, vanilla. Bug name: The Third Person View Invisibility Glitch!
Version: 1.4.2 (Please note I haven't tested this for 1.4.3 pre-release yet.)
Details: Go into creative and put on some armour. Doesn't matter which but just put on some armour. Then use a potion of invisibility on yourself. Then equip yourself with a sword. Go into third person view (looking at yourself) and left click. Your hand will move but the sword won't.
System: Windows 7 Home Premium. But I think its a bug associated with the game, not the system.
When starting a rocket (no effects, just plain rocket) game will disconnect all players in the area where you wanted to start them, I think players need to be in the loaded chunks there...if you are far away or in another dimension it wont effect other players but yourself...after getting disconneted you cant login for a minute or so...
This really weird glitch where my Minecraft closes for no reason, It's really annoying on minecraft servers...

Bug name: Dropping items on vanilla 1.4.6 server Version: 1.4.6 Details: Dropping some items don't work on vanilla server for me.
