Description: Any attempt to fall in the void causes the player to be stuck a few layers down and cannot escape. The only way to fall down the void is to shift click or sneak while you're flying.

Version 10.6.8

Description: Portal troubles. My Nether portal will send me from the overworld to the Nether properly, but when I use the portal back it will not create a new portal nor send me to the correct portal, but it places me about 20 blocks to the west of it and at the same elevation as the Nether portal's so that I am immediately dropped from mid air 30 blocks until I hit land below. This has been happening with all portals including my modded BINs, like Tropicraft, Twilight forest, etc. It will spawn you at the exact coordinates of the portal you used to move to the dimension rather than the usual place of in the portal or right next to it. When going to the Twilight Forest I drop 40+ blocks due to the difference in terrain generation. Prior versions would place me on the block next to the portal square, and of course the Nether would place you in the linked portal. Not sure why it won't create a new one or put me in the portal now. Never sure of where I'm going to show up as I've popped into the Overworld in stone 30 block below sea level to choke to death.
Momentarily flashes of fire where there is no fire.
1.4.4 pre
64-bit Ubuntu 12.04 Linux openjdk-7 (my fps is always faster than 60 Hz screen refresh rate even while chunk loading)
Flames frequently flash where there is no fire, but so briefly that I cannot tell if it is regular fire or just ghost torch flames (nor capture it in a snapshot). I have never noticed that before.
Details: The first portal that spawned in nether behaved strangely. Portals in Overworld, no matter how far from first portal, lead to that portal only. It was multiplayer game so I ask someone for help, I shutdown portal in nether and other person used one of distant Overworld portals, creating new portal in nether. I repaired first portal and everything was working as expected after that.
System: (OS) Windows 7
As someone who is a heavy user of nether portals I'd like to point out that this is NOT a bug. If a portal is made in the overworld it will only spawn a nether side portal if there are no portals at all in the nether. Any other nether portals in the overworld will bring you to the closest portal in the nether, and in this case its the very first portal that was made.
However, if you make a portal in the nether it will spawn a new portal in the overworld when entered. If this is changed and the overwold portals spawned a nether side every time it would cause problems when linking the portals.
Now, with that out of the way I do have a bug report related to nether portals.
Bug Name: Nether portal Direction
Version: 1.4.2
Details: Entering or leaving a nether portal will change the direction you are facing. If I entered a portal facing east when i got to the nether i'd then be facing south. After a little bit of testing I've learned this isn't random. When watching the F coord when going to the nether it adds 1. when going back to the overworld it removes 1.

Hello all i have been searching around the forums to see if anyone else is having problems with witches spawning in smp. Every post i have read said that they have not seen a witch spawn on thier server. I have been talking to our admin about it he suggested it might be because the chunks were loaded on a previous server so i explored where he was sure no one was been and found a hut and still no witches anyone else experiencing this????
The default for servers is easy mode, and while I have yet to see a witch in a native swamp hut, I did get them to spawn by making a witch grinder like this video
which took awhile to build in survival. However, in my case witches only spawned on the swamp hut floor (not on another level under floor where hostile mobs spawned), so I to had to switch to glass blocks on the floor where a river biome intruded on the hut and also to block off the level under the floor. One change I made was a piston in the drop 3 blocks down the drop to hold them in a 2 block hole until I could get below and flip a switch, because if they dropped when I was not near the drop point I often could not pick up their drops. It takes a 30 block drop to kill a witch (or they heal themselves), so my total drop was 32 blocks, 2 to top of piston block + 30 from top of piston to collection point. I have a deck and ladder to drop point about 25 blocks from the witch spawning deck
With walls and other things cleared from swamp hut floor there were more blocks for spawning and 1 to 4 witches would spawn, but infrequently, sometimes if I go away and come back. And it helps to light up underground caves in the area to minimize other hostile mob spawning. I have not found a swamp hut in our hard survival only world yet, because it is a 1.2 world that has been extensively explored.

--- END ERROR REPORT 4144d772 ----------
When I go on my 1.4.2 minecraft, I see that all of the mobs (including me) lose their skins. I have Too Many Items 1.4 downloaded, but I don't think that is causing the problem. By the way, I have a Windows 7 Home Proffesional PC. Please help so I can get Minecraft running properly.
I have a problem and I think its the same as one mentionned earlier (i'll quote it).
Version : 1.4.4 pre
Bug name : Flashing lights
System : windows 7
Description : Lights are flashing sometimes everywhere for a extremely short amount of time (very hard to screenshot it even if the are tons). They seem like the fire from torches but often they are in the walls/in the air/in the sky. The problem is not always there but it seems to happen a lot.
Screenshot : I can't paste the screenshot actually :/ I'm sorry I'm not used to forums. I tried changing the format, inserting it, etc. But it doesn't work. (it is not very good anyway but I took like 25 to get one right) To summarize the picture, there are flames floating in a raining sky.
On my Mac computer the tab key doesn't work for auto finishing commands or listing players on a server. Also the F2 key doesn't capture screenshots.
version : 1.4.2
I'm not sure what IOS my mac is running.
In 1.4.4 walking near a torch (or torches) causes "ghost torch flames" to appear. They zip around fast and momentarily, almost as if they're following some kind of refresh or scan pattern. They seem to come and go, but occur more often if near torches. Definitely a bug associated with torches and their particle effect and it's annoying, but not quite a game-breaker. (Didn't have this problem in 1.4.2 before the newer update.)
Also I'm noticing used memory on the F3 screen going up quickly to about 33% before it drops back down to 18%. Not sure if that behaviour is considered normal. If not, it could be related to this other bug I'm noticing.
That's the screen grab. The odd behaving torch particle effect doesn't seem to capture for some reason, but the other info still might be useful.
----Edit----
I figured I'd add this comment. I'm not a programmer, but from the way it appears I think the torch particle effect somehow got associated with lighting updates. So where it's calculating lighting, when conditions are right for the bug, the torch flame briefly appears on those blocks currently being updated. Either that or I don't know what the heck I'm talking about, but figured it couldn't hurt to give some insight. (It might also occur with other light sources that have particle effects, but I haven't ran into it yet.)
I'm not sure if this has already been reported, but here goes.
Bug Name: Torch
Version: 1.4.4
Details: As soon as I log in, if I am near torches I can see the flame glitching all over my screen and it won't go away. If I look directly at the torches I don't see it, but if I look off to the side there it is.
System: Windows 7 Asus
Bug name: Snow golems lagg
version: 1.4.4
Details: The snow golems fall through block when they are in fenced area
Plz fix this i'm using this to defend my gate xD LOL
Bug name: Massive FPS drop near mobs
Version: 1.4.4
Details: Whenever I'm near a large amount of mobs (such as my cow farm, chicken farm, sheep farm, defensive snow golems) my fps PLUMMETS from a steady Vsync'd 60 fps to a pathetic 1-3 fps. Before the mobs even render, the fps drops to around 15 or so, then when they appear it drops all the way. Without Vsync I get around 80 fps. I didn't have any problems with fps and mobs before.
Mods: Optifine, doesn't change anything with or without, however.
System: Core i7 2.00 GHz, Intel HD graphics 2 gb, 8 gb RAM, Windows 7.

Sorry about that. I found a patch fixer and used that. now I can see creepers!

Huh, its like 10 pages of bug fixes and such, that im not aware of." *loads world* "oh great, ill just hold off playing untill this bug patch is de-bugged" System: windows 7
PS, Still love ur game, i got two brannew games last week, and still all i play is minecrack
Ever since the update to 1.4.2. I have been dealing with a lot of lagging. I never got lag in 1.3.2.
When I went online in multiplayer mode on November 6th. I destroyed a dirt block. Came back for a split second and disappear again.

--- END ERROR REPORT 4144d772 ----------
http://www.dazeminecraft.com/
Thanks
version : 1.4.2
I'm not sure what IOS my mac is running.
Bug Name: Torch
Version: 1.4.4
Details: As soon as I log in, if I am near torches I can see the flame glitching all over my screen and it won't go away. If I look directly at the torches I don't see it, but if I look off to the side there it is.
System: Windows 7 Asus
version: 1.4.4
Details: The snow golems fall through block when they are in fenced area
Plz fix this i'm using this to defend my gate xD LOL
I get double block places frequently.
I know it is a problem with 1.4.4 because I don't get double block places on 1.4.2
Version: 1.4.4 (the bug fix patch, LOL)
Details: i loged on "oooh, a new patch YAY! Huh, its like 10 pages of bug fixes and such, that im not aware of." *loads world* "oh great, ill just hold off playing untill this bug patch is de-bugged"
System: windows 7
PS, Still love ur game, i got two brannew games last week, and still all i play is minecrack
