wow, this could be very useful!
Instead having to back and forth between the nether and such, and of course cracking the spawn system.
Using teleportation on the command block can make things so much simpler!
I cannot wait for this update, a bunch of ideas are rushing to my mind for a new adventure map :D!
Imagine, with these blocks you can make a flying house in the sky, that toggles weather with the press of a single button.
Now ain't that a good thing for some craaazy fantasy adventure map

Not to mention combining player detectors with this means the player won't ever have to activate anything manually!
For example, you have a section in your map where the atmosphere would be a lot better if it were raining. Well, the player enters the section and rain automatically starts pouring.
Or you walk into a little shack meant for setting your spawn. Combine a day/night sensor with the player detector and automatically set the players spawn point if it's day as they walk into the shack! Or just set the spawn whether or not it's day, saving time on bed usage.
My friend and I have been fiddling around with this block and it will make adventure maps amazing. Not only with the teleportation, but with giving items at the start of survival maps (Now you don't have to screw with chests full of leather pants!). I'm pretty sure you can use the give exp command with this too, so the possibilities of this are nearly endless. It's a fantastic item and I literally CANNOT WAIT for more adventure mode things now. I thought it was a really stupid idea at first but man, this adds a whole new level to it.
EDIT: Not to mention that with tripwires, you can make it so that it sets the game mode to peaceful in a town surrounded by walls or something, and then changes it back to normal when you leave!
EDIT AGAIN: And you can use this to toggle downfall and time of day in a story based rpg (Can't wait to see a map based on Silent Hill 1 where it transitions to the Otherworld without you having to wait until night time!). Like, seriously, the possibilities really are endless!
I highly suggest you read this because I'm pretty sure you can do nearly all of these:
I'm playing with it, and I love it! I just wish the command line allowed longer input, for /me and /say. It's a cool way to add narrative to my adventure in a way that I had mostly been doing with books and signs.

It is possible, just string together a bunch of command blocks using repeaters. Just note that there has to be some delay between the blocks, otherwise things will get out of order.
EDIT:
Meaning with this, you can set up a series of events to occur.
For example, shrines. You click a button on a shrine and, for a short period of time, it will allow you to keep your inventory (keepInventory for the /gamerule command). After that period of time ends, the effect is taken away.

I'm afraid command blocks don't continue a current.
But you can run the redstone to the trigger block to make them both go on, just add repeaters to the second.
I made one of those switches that goes back and forth, and when you flip it it toggles the weather on and off. It DOES work with set time too, I can confirm BOTH of these things.
Gotta remember guys, this is still buggy. These things were just added, so who knows if it's meant to carry the current. My pyramid buff blocks (beacons) don't have the beacon beam, and neither do my friends', so like I said, there are some bugs! I'm working on an adventure map with these right now. Just got a store set up and everything, it's great. Anyone figured out a way to charge something to create something yet?
I made a short little teleporting parkour test, uploading soon.
Can't wait to see it! Adventure maps can have even bigger dungeons now, because you can build the dungeons very far away and be teleported to them from small gates!

It's only a test, very small.
I have it down so i can now make a legitimate teleporting parkour.
Am I the only one messed up enough to want to see a remake of the first level of portal 2, apocalypse weekend?
The one where you (partially insane due to head trauma) escape a hospital.

That doesn't work for me. The command block stops the current..
Well that's odd, same exact setup as above, including the wire to the far right pointing into the block?

Strange, apparently it does work only if it has redstone at the beginning.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
Exactly what I was thinking, haha!

Never heard of it, but i now want to.
