It really isn;t htat hard to find cows.

And also, on a technicality - long distances in minecraft should be measured in Kilometers, not Miles - seeing as 1 block is 1 meter, not 1 foot.

Reminds me.. I need to kill me some cows.

All they need to do is up the rate you get leather from the cow. One hide per book is a little extreme. Cows are kinda big, you get a little more leather than that.
