1.It lag like hell.
2. When you break a block, it take 1 second for the block to "come out".
3.Lots of giant unload chucks. (You can see caves like x-ray mode)
4. When you drop an item (as usual) it takes 1 second or the item to "drop"
5.When you fire an arrow it takes seconds until the arrow is release.
6.When you respawn - you respawn just like in multiplayer (very laggy)
PLEASE jeb, STOP this ****! Stop merging SP with SMP because it was laggy as hell. And it ruined single player - it's supposed to be lag-free!
Sorry buddy. It aint happening. No matter how much you ***** and moan. At this point the deal is simply get over it. They are working on it. Each snapshot is making things smoother and smoother. They are snapshots after all. They arnt going to be as stable an official update.
Merging the two makes a lot of people (anyone working on the game, devs, modders ect) lives easier and makes the game easier to update and make better.
Its not going to stop just because you think it should.

Lol, one whole second?!? That's rough man. I can see why you're so upset...
This is a legitimate complaint. One second of lag is significant, especially when you're playing a SINGLE PLAYER mode. Stop trying to be cynical and use humor as an answer to his complaint. Yes, they are trying to fix it. However, if this remains in the 1.3 release, this is a horrible move on Mojang's part.
Not to me it isn't. The benefits of the merge far outweight the costs. It is a work in progress, so expecting it to be perfect when it isn't nearly complete yet isn't realistic. If 1 second of lag is mainly all you have to complain about... then like I said before, Lol, have some paitence.
This topic has also been beaten to death and the outcome is always going to be the same - the people who are upset with the merge are just going to have to "deal with it." Not saying that to be rude, it's just the truth.
The merge is not done yet. QQ moar, it won't stop them from finishing the merge. Once it's finished, it will be fine.
Personally, I have absolutely no lag playing single player apart from boats being a little bit choppy, and the occasional, almost insignificant mob collision problem, and that's only when there are a bunch of mobs trying to go to the same spot (ie. zombie sieges in villages).
Each snapshot is running better for me as well. Most people are having improvements in performance with the new merge.
OP, could you tell us your system specs? That could help us with ascertaining the problem.
You know, you can't please everybody. If he takes un-merges them people will complain about slow updates and no modding support. If he keeps the merge people like you will complain. Personally, I'm all for the merge. There are a few glitches, but nothing that subtracts from the experience too much. Plus there's likely to be more bugfixes with the merge since Mojang can code twice as efficiently.
Simple question, what happenes if Mojang CAN'T fix this issue and it stays in the final release of this update? Are you going to tell him to suck it up still?
I see the defense force in full effect. I can't wait until the full release and it's still buggy and laggy as hell and the idiots come up with new excuses for why we should accept SSP being turned into ****.
Oh, and if Minecraft had been made by "smarter" people then it wouldn't have been coded in Java to begin with. SMH.

Java isn't a bad language, and it has a lot of advantages over other languages such as C, mainly that it can run on all platforms.
Notch just had more experience in Java, so he used that language to make the game. using java doesn't make you stupid -.-

What is the point of all the SMP players pretending they play SSP. Do you believe if they ditch SSP more time will be spent on SMP?
Here's why :

Lol, it's in development. They are fixing it. Be patient.

Every snapshots gets laggy and more laggy
You're over-exaggerating the problems of the snapshots. It's barely noticeable on my computer.

I'm not being cynical, I'm being rational.

Just shut up, and realize that people much smarter than you are the ones working on this game. It will all work out by the time 1.3 is released.
it isnt FINISHED
its going to be LAGGY
because its still in DEVELOPMENT
