Hmm... Personally, i'm excited for it, so, i can't wait. However, i want to make sure it's all well and good, so i'm happy waiting so long as it's good and ready by the time it's released.
In other words, bugs and bumps does not a minecraftian make.
In even more other words... i'm going to just wait for the bugs to be ironed out, and, once that's done, eagerly await the full release.
I figure the middle of June. It's been longer than the amount of time between 1.0 and 1.1, and 1.1 and 1.2, so it's reasonable to assume that.
Wonder what this week's snapshot has in store for us? Perhaps a nerf to the xp system?
No one really knows when 1.3 will come out. Not even Jeb himself is sure. So, when do you THINK, or when is your guess, when 1.3 will be released?
Well I heard that the Minecraft team was going to start work on the XBox360 version and get it roughly up to date with the current pc one so my bet is that the Minecraft team is working on one HUGE update and the will release it bit by bit
We haven't really gotten any news on the ssp-smp merge in a while I think, so this might be an indicator that it's nearly done.
At the very least, my answer is 'Anytime after the ssp-smp merge is done', since that's the official criteria for 1.3's release set by Mojang themselves =P
I'm hoping it comes out tomarrow, the 5th, but it will probably end up in mid June - mid July. I voted June because I want it to come out so bad. Even if the SSP/SMP merge is laggy it they will probably fix it up and make 1.3.1 soon after. This is most likely not gonna happen though it's only an assumption.
I think mid-June, for there have been MANY MANY big updates in the snapshots, and a too huge update would be hard to prepare for. Also, recently, as DragonHeroBlaze said, it has been longer than the updates for the other full version updates.
I wish it'd be soon, but I think it will be late June. They are trying to get Xbox 360 version up to date, as well as the huge PC snapshots that could almost be updates themselves seemingly.

I said this. Two days later, my computer's motherboard melted down and I had to get a new one with Windows 8.
Irony in the first degree.

the mod API will not be included they said that they will wait for 1.4
Mojang seems to be taking their time lately, which is good.
