Found my first desert temple, woot! I love the look and feel...but it had me thinking...I wish it had some abandoned catacombs, with more booby traps, kinda like an abandoned mineshaft, but...not a mine. You know. More indian jones kinda stuff.
Maybe I am just over excited.
How about you guys? What would you like to see?
More temple variations would be great too!

Why would they add a maze? You can just dig your way threw it.
Couldn't you argue the same thing about the design of abandoned mineshafts and strongholds? Though I guess with strongholds, there's the threat of silverfish. Maybe there could be catacomb silverfish?

Make note: I generally avoid being insulting. If I sound insulting, I'm probably joking.

Some kind of mummy that can come out of "Tomb blocks"

I agree. The end of it could be a boss which drops added experience.
We need more bosses.
Yes. Maybe a Sand-Stone Colossus?
There could be a treasure room with emeralds, combine that with special items that you can only buy from villagers, that are very costly.
Rewarding? Yes

No, wait! Scarabs! I just thought of it. Scarabs would be absolutely perfect! Popular media always presents them as carnivorous little swarm monsters that come out of catacomb walls to devour you!

I was making a jade maze mod where jade mazes spawn in jungles(jadestone is as hard as obsidian) and it had world-generated redstone maze functionality(sections that close off or open at long intervals) and traps.
Black area: entrance quad
Silver area: maze quad
Gold area: trap quad
Diamond area: portal room to maze world
Those were just area designations, they wouldn't have actually been those colors but made of jadestone.
I stopped because it got tedious specifying xyz of every block section but I even found out how to spawn anything I want in dispenser(monster eggs even potion lvl2).
The only problem was that on occasion the redstone extenders(blue repeater tick set 10/100/1000/10000) would freeze when they came into the loaded space. Overall though I was very damn close and the concept was great.

Biome specific EVERYTHING FTW Its glad to see Jeb finally starting working on it.
Anyways, i think that each biome should have a structure, each with its own mob and boss.
Underground: Stronghold - Silverfish - End Dragon
Nether: Nether Fortress - Blaze - Maybe a giant slime or something. I think it would be cool if a giant hand shot out of the lava
Forest: A giant tree, with a wooden fortress inside - Maybe raccoons? - The boss could be a tree, like the one in Kirby.
Desert: Pyramid - Mummies would be cool. - Maybe a giant scorpion for a boss. (I think that these could be switched. Scorpions for the mobs, and then mummies (or a giant mummy) as a boss)
Maybe I am just over excited.

Remember kids, when the mod crashes delete system32!
Or...a maze type area, or labyrinth, with the same desert temple styling.

God Yes, biome specific mobs ftw

Well, the tnt trap works ok. There could be more stuff like that. Perhaps hidden arrow traps? Hit a button, and bam! A barrage of arrows gets you.

Doesn't have to me that kind of maze, just a lot of catacombs that hold dark mysterious secrets.

Jungle Tribes and ruins?
I am ever hoping for the Lore of Minecraft's history to expand.

Swarm of silverfish pushing my naked body and I kill them with a gravel block.

These are just some ideas i had off the top of my head.
