Addressing them chronlogically (I like lists, too!):
1) That probably say something about the content of your argument.
And regardless, that's kind of my point. I'm saying that you're approaching this thread as if people are only allowed to respond if they agree with your position. When you say things like "What part of no arguing don't you understand' or "So far no one has agreed with me anyway", the message you're sending is that you made this thread to be agreed with an ignore conflicting ideas.
Really, shouldn't the goal be to listen to and consider all opposing viewpoints? If you're really correct, you should be able to counter or compensate for opposing positions, that's how you know your idea is really strong to begin with.
2) I can relate. As it is, I don't really like SMP that much, either, as I'd rather play with friends than on a server owned by someone else calling all of the shots / making stupid rules /living somewhere inconvenient where my latency is garbage.
That said, your argument doesn't work in reverse; it's all well and good to say "well nevermind SMP, I don't really care about it", but everyone else could say exactly the same thing about your view of enderchests in SSP.
That would still be wrong of them, and a terribly low-quality argument, but the point is that it's essentially the same thing and results in neither side getting anywhere.
3) I will concede this point.
Things should be balanced carefully, even in SSP. You've got me there. Otherwise it isn't fun.
The cheat thing is largely an issue of semantics though; the difference lies not in the name but the implementation. Contra doesn't pop up with a tutorial that says "call up up down down left right left right B A Start for a good time", so it isn't really a feature. The chest is a feature. My point was not that all of SSP should be unbalanced with cheat codes, but that "fun" is subjective and in a solo environment, it doesn't hurt you if your neighbor has game breaking equipment. I'm sure the creepers don't like it, but since they aren't players no one is really suffering. Well, depending on how much you watched Reboot as a child, maybe it is.
But no, you're right there. If it doesn't feel right in the game, it's in mod territory.
I personally don't think it's so bad, but I haven't had it around long enough to be any sort of authority. So, meh.
1) I don't want to argue, but the thing is; if someone says that the ender chest is fine, they never go beyond that, so it is hard to discus, as the people who disagree don't have a opinion other then "I think that the chest is fine and it isn't OP"
2) True, I guess that I do play SMP a bit, but the thing is; It is way to expensive to make for what little it will do in the SMP environment.
3) I do agree that what other people do is up to them, and not really my concern, but, if we are the people that are suppose to test and give feedback so that the game will be better for all the new people that are joining, then I will give my feedback, and it is my personal opinion that if they leave them the way that they are they might as well make them backpacks, because that is what they will likely be used for... Primarily.

So what's wrong with a little extra inventory space? Okay, so it gives me a place to store my backup wood and rare materials so that I can hold on to all the cobblestone and mob drops I collect. Dying only ensures I lose my equipment and, most likely, the chest.
2) However nothing like that happens in Creative Mode. Survival mode is just a mode that sets those limitations on you.
3) That's because getting one diamond per block has already been established. If always dropped 50 diamonds or 3 diamonds or 100 diamonds, we would be having a different discussion altogether.
4) Peaceful mode.
1) Likewise
2) Actually, creative is a mode that removes those limitations, not the other way around.
3) The thing is; Minecraft is set at a certain difficulty (admittedly it is low) and it is important to not make it even easier if that is posible
4) The only reasons I could see for peaceful are: adventure maps, and if someones computer is to slow to make the mobs work properly.
2) So what's wrong with a little extra inventory space? Okay, so it gives me a place to store my backup wood and rare materials so that I can hold on to all the cobblestone and mob drops I collect. Dying only ensures I lose my equipment and, most likely, the chest.
1) I would, but I don't think that way
2) I care little for the extra space, the problem I have is this:
Now you can go mine and carry an ender chest with you. After every ore you mine, you can just place the ender chest down, place the ores in it, pick the chest back up and continue mining. You can just stay mining forever with absolutely no danger of hostile mobs[and lava]
Ok you know what people who don't like the chest don't use the chest. End of story
As I said above (sort-of) We are the testers, we are to give feedback, because games would suck if the people that were testing it just rolled over and said "whatever the designer puts in this game will be great"
You see, when you do this, it makes you look like a hypocrite. You specifically said that no one explained why it isn't OP (even though I've spent several pages doing so) and then when I ask you why, you don't even come up with anything. Think things through before you post.

Hold on, so your problem is that it gives you extra space? And that argument has a pretty big flaw in it, claiming you have no danger of hostile mobs just because you have some extra inventory space.
As I said above (sort-of) We are the testers, we are to give feedback, because games would suck if the people that were testing it just rolled over and said "whatever the designer puts in this game will be great"
But there really are no problems with the chest, it's perfectly balanced.
1) Read more carefully. I said that Creative Mode doesn't have those limitations and Survival does.
2) It's literally impossible to make Minecraft easier. Cheat codes.
3) Maybe people would like to try a game of survival without having access to every material but would also like to not deal with hostile mobs.
4) You see, when you do this, it makes you look like a hypocrite. You specifically said that no one explained why it isn't OP (even though I've spent several pages doing so) and then when I ask you why, you don't even come up with anything. Think things through before you post.

6) but there really are no problems with the chest, it's perfectly balanced.
1) Yes, but I said that it is creative that removes the limitations, and you said that it is survival that imposes them, which is NOT the same thing, as what you said implys that we had creative and then survival came along and imposed limitations on it.
2) But I for one do not believe in using cheats, and I think that there are others that think that way also.
3) I could see why someone would do it, but it takes all the excitement out of the game.
4) You see, I don't know why people would think that it is balanced, therefor "I don't think that way". To clarify: I said that no one says how it is balanced, then you say: "Then explain how it is", then I say "I would, but I don't think that way" because I don't think that the chest is fine so I can't "explain how it is (balanced, from the context)" because I don't think that it is balanced.
5) No, my stance is not against the extra space, it is in relation to the quote, which I don't think you understand, I am agains the save storage.
6) No problems? Perfectly balanced? What is the counter weight? This was the point when I said: "If someone says that the ender chest is fine, they never go beyond that, so it is hard to discus, as the people who disagree don't have a opinion other then "I think that the chest is fine and it isn't OP""

I see. That was a fault of mine, assuming you would know I was referring to your claim the chest was unbalanced. But since we've clarified that, explain how it's unbalanced.
6) No problems? Perfectly balanced? What is the counter weight? The chest is balanced for several reasons
-While the chest can store 27 items to be accessed anywhere, you must use an Enderchest. If you want to go mining with it, you'll have to get a second Enderchest to effectively use it in the even that you die. If you do die, you most likely lose the chest and any equipment you didn't have inside it. However, making it outside without dying (the most likely scenario, since you'll be playing extremely carefully with the chest) only effectively provides you with an expanded inventory.
-The chest doesn't safeguard everything in your inventory. If you were to get 30 diamonds, placed them in the chest, and then died, congratulations. You've just saved your 30 diamonds. However, you've also lost your diamond pick, diamond sword, diamond armor, etc. All that means is you get to replace all of that with your 30 diamonds. Oh, and you're also down an Enderchest, so you better go replace that too. This is assuming you even have two Enderchests.
-So you get to transport goods to other sides of the map. That still means you have to go all the way over to the other side, access the other Enderchest, and take it all out, which just means you get an extra 27 slots of inventory.
1) What's classic mode?
2) Then you yourself admit that everyone has a different playing style and there is no one right way to play Minecraft, which undermines your whole argument.
3) Excitement is relative.
4) I see. That was a fault of mine, assuming you would know I was referring to your claim the chest was unbalanced. But since we've clarified that, explain how it's unbalanced.

7) Try again.
1) Classic mode is not creative, it is there because it is hard to program damage into a game
2) Yes I admit that everyone has a different playing style, but it does not undermine the fact that, if Mojang adds an overpowered item to the game, we should at the very least discuss the fact that it might be to good
3) True, but I don't know how someone would go and be really excited to find a diamond if there was nothing to stop them from getting home safe, and putting that daimond in a box and forgeting about it.
4) It is unbalanced (in my opinion) because there is no reason that we should have a safe half of our inventory, if that was the idea from the start then why did Notch make it so that we dropped items when we died.
5) I disagree, because I don't use diamonds for armor or tools (except when necessary) and once you make one, it makes them VERY easy to make more of.
6) I appreciate you putting this up, Thank you.
7) This is one reason that I said this before: "Are you trying to start an argument?"
2) Yes I admit that everyone has a different playing style, but it does not undermine the fact that, if Mojang adds an overpowered item to the game, we should at the very least discuss the fact that it might be to good

Beds are inbalanced (in my opinion) because there is no reason that we should have a safe place to spawn, if that was the idea from the start then why did Notch make it so that we spawn in the same place when we died.
7) This is one reason that I said this before: "Are you trying to start an argument?"
Yes. I am trying to start an argument because it gives me physical pleasure every time I see a post with a response to one of my utterings. I constantly press the F5 button on my "View New Content" in hopes that another user such as yourself would make a response so that I can respond and increase my e-peen and brag to all of my internet friends (since I have no real friends) about how I got the one-up on people like you.
1) Like potions, beds, enchanting, and wolves.
2) Beds are inbalanced (in my opinion) because there is no reason that we should have a safe place to spawn, if that was the idea from the start then why did Notch make it so that we spawn in the same place when we died.
Things change.
3) Then since you'll have only brought iron tools, which is very common, it balances out.
1) Personally, I don't find any of these OP, 1. Potions, I like, they add a more "magical" feel to the game, and they aren't that good 2. enchanting (beds will be covered below) is random, and not that good. 3. wolves, are a pain because I have to try to keep them alive, and that is hard when they are always teleporting to "help" me
2) Actually, if we wouldn't have gotten beds, we would have got "crying obsidian" and besides, all they really do is let you build somewhere other then were you spawn.
3) But I had my iron pickaxe in the ender chest and everything else is stone, and if I use armor it is leather, which is free (basically)
1) Personally, I don't find any of these OP, 1. My point was that people have constantly complained about things being OP. I was saying that in the end, it was all for nothing because nobody cares about them anymore, just like no one will care about the chests.
2) Actually, if we wouldn't have gotten beds, we would have got "crying obsidian" and besides, all they really do is let you build somewhere other then were you spawn.
They weren't implemented in the original game, though.
I think that when a chest is placed it should be linked to that player, if anybody came along they would get access, through that chest, to that inventory. This way an admin could place a bunch of chests and they could be "community" chests or perhaps someway of identifying you want to access the community chest. This way it wouldn't be 100% secure as anybody could access your chest assuming you leave one around but other people will be able to actually use the feature.

So, the problem I have with these ender chests are that they are not good enough for transportation compared to minecarts, and at the same time, they allow you to store away precious items whenever you find some so that there is no risk. In order to solve both of these, maybe two things could be done at once.
1. Allow double ender chests to make transportation easier.
2. Make it so that when an ender chest is destroyed, it drops eight obsidian (not the eye of ender, and not affected by fortune) to discourage using it to save items the moment you find them.
This quote effectivley sums up the issues with the Enderchest for me. Very well thought out and written, credit to the guy who posted it.
I wouldn't say all that thought out, considering how people like me tend to tear into these sorts of arguments. Let's take a look.
I see it being very simple really. The main problems with these chests is that they offer a no risk system for rare item collecting. Place a chest in your base and carry one with you. "Oh look diamonds 5 million steps away from my spawn bed. Let's just place those in my ended chest along with my other valuable stuff and then just jump in some lava". Presto you find yourself home with all your stuff safe in the chest. Make another ender chest and do it all over.
You could say the same about hunger. "Oh, hey! I'm about to die of starvation. Let me go put all my valuable stuff in this chest and then just drown in some water". Presto, you're now at full health and don't have to eat anything. Ignore eating and do it all again.
Another problem I saw was the perfect inventory problem. Normally ingame I have 1 enchanted pick and 1 enchanted sword on me. Would I carry my silk touch or fortune pick just running around? No. I keep those at home safe until I need them. Now that we don't have to worry about losing a bunch of valuable items we could have a arsenal of opportunistic tools at our desire at any moment.
Say I am caving and come across a spider dungion. This is one of those rare cases where I really would like my Bane of Arthropods sword. No I just plop down my ender chest and take it out. No need to worry about the possible loss of any other valuable and useful items I can have just the one I need at any moment.
This implies that you're going to absolutely embrace the idea of the Enderchest and keep your valuables stored inside it for easy access when you clearly don't want to use it that way.
This sort of takes away from the idea of a limited inventory. Some say "Relax dudes it's just one extra inventory". If that was the case fine but the problem is that it is a indestructible inventory.
And that extended, indestructible inventory will be used for what? Diamonds you collect along the way? Strong tools you keep safe? All that the chest does is give you the option to minimize losses and bring some extra materials you could use in an emergency.
Simply not using an item is fine if it's just an optional extra, but when an item begins to unbalance and eat away at the core values and gameplay elements of the title as a whole, then surely alarm bells should start to ring...
This has been used as an argument time and time again, but it still doesn't get any stronger. "Enchanting overpowers you! It needs to be nerfed so that you aren't able to oneshot enemies!" "Potions take away from the core feeling of Minecraft! Now you don't ever have to worry about dying to lava!" "Wolves ruin the challenge because they'll kill mobs for you and make you safe!" "Beds take away the dangers of night AND respawning! Now I can just respawn in a cave and rush down and grab my loot before it all disappears!" Do people even think this any more? Do you still see people whinging and harping on wolves and beds?
You could say the same about hunger. "Oh, hey! I'm about to die of starvation. Let me go put all my valuable stuff in this chest and then just drown in some water". Presto, you're now at full health and don't have to eat anything. Ignore eating and do it all again.
They both have downsides. If you have experience on you, then it's not a very smart stunt to pull just to get your energy back. Same with the enderchest, you lose 8 obsidian, an eye of ender, and all the supplies you have on you. It's a small loss at some point, but you earned it right?
Also: You would have to be very careful, otherwise you drag out that silk touch pick, forget to put it back, and lose it accidentally anyways. It would probably be safest to keep the chests in one spot until you are 'done with that area'.
I believe that you shouldn't be able to pick the chest up once you place it, so you'll have to craft a chest for every base you have, and not just always carry the same one with you.
*Misclicks with Enderchest in my house* "****"
That is why they need to be able to be picked back up. It's as bad as TNT was before 1.7. At least with TNT you could just set it off and fix the damage. If you misplace a block that is physically impossible to break or get rid of. Just make it take a while to break. Like obsidian.

It requires you to have
Made an Iron Pickaxe, Diamond Pick Axe, Nether Portal, gathered Blaze Powder, then craft it.

I wouldn't say all that thought out, considering how people like me tend to tear into these sorts of arguments. Let's take a look.
You could say the same about hunger. "Oh, hey! I'm about to die of starvation. Let me go put all my valuable stuff in this chest and then just drown in some water". Presto, you're now at full health and don't have to eat anything. Ignore eating and do it all again.
This implies that you're going to absolutely embrace the idea of the Enderchest and keep your valuables stored inside it for easy access when you clearly don't want to use it that way.
And that extended, indestructible inventory will be used for what? Diamonds you collect along the way? Strong tools you keep safe? All that the chest does is give you the option to minimize losses and bring some extra materials you could use in an emergency.
All I see is more of the same.
I don't even know where to start.

That is why they need to be able to be picked back up. It's as bad as TNT was before 1.7. At least with TNT you could just set it off and fix the damage. If you misplace a block that is physically impossible to break or get rid of. Just make it take a while to break. Like obsidian.
