Anyone else super happy about this? The graphs were just a pain in the ass. I was digging out tunnels for my minecart system and I didn't throw my keyboard out the window when having F3 opened to navigate. I haven't seen any threads about it so I was wondering if people overlooked this.
For those of you who don't know as of 1.2.4, if you press Shift + F3 it just shows the coordinates/text stuff and removes all the annoying graphs.
The Opti-fine mods already allowed us to do this so it's kind of a redundant feature for a lot of us. Suppose those who don't use the mod will benefit from this but I never play without it so
I would prefer it to be an option like smooth lighting instead of having to use shift-f3 every time, but it's still quite nice. I still have no idea what that pie chart on the right even does.

I was thinking that too but maybe just reverse the controls. If you want the graphs, then you would have to hold shift since more people use it for the text over graphs. Doesn't really bother me though, I'm used to Shift + F1'ing in-game for Origin.
This is a great feature. I don't really need the "lag graph" because I already know if I'm having lag or not. As for the resources pie chart, well, it's interesting, but it doesn't really help me in the slightest.
I'm VERY happy about this. I only wish that this Lite version of the Debug screen was the default [F3] and the full bar and graph version were the [Shift] + [F3].

This was the first thing that came to mind when I found out about this portion of the update. The graphs get in the way of the other information sometimes.

When no one was looking, the Endermen took forty blocks.
They took 40 blocks. That’s as many as four tens. And that’s horrible.
When I used the f3 screen my fps would go from like 45 to 30. It did make the game a little choppy but my main problem with the graphs was the fact that they were even there. I felt like I was putting up a business powerpoint every time I wanted to check my coord.
Yes, me and my friends were very happy when we heard about the new debug screen, we usually use the x and z coordinates to tell where we are and such, not having to wait for that graph to load is truly awesome.

A double resolution texture pack that stays faithful to the original Minecraft textures.

Now I can actually look at coordinates and seeds.

The pie chart (to the best of my knowledge) is monitoring the various features listed under it and displaying their resource usage.
Agreed
