I must of looked in 3 jungles for at least 20 mins each, but yet i couldn't find any. Is there anything to make it easyer? Killing passive animals? Leveling the jungle? Just standing still for a long time? I really want to find a couple cats (for breeding) but having no luck whatsoever
Spend more then 20 minutes looking. I spent like and hour while looking for one and it drowned itself, next one I tamed and a creeper blew it up.... They are hard to tame to because it you have to jump or drop down they get spooked... even bumping a vine and accidentilly climbing will make them run in fear.

Another tip that seems to work for me is I have a fish in my hand and stand still in an area so I can look slowly around. Once you find one if you move toward the oclet it runs away just like a stray cat would. You have to creep and be still so they will come to you and then you give them the fish. The first couple took me awhile since I had to figure out the best way for me to get one. I aslo tend to look on the edges of the biome and where there are lakes in the jungle because they are easier to see and get near the cats since the ground is flatter.
I have considered burning part of my jungle since it is so dense and hard to get around but my fear is how to stop the fire once it gets going. I dont' want to burn the entire jungles but a path through would be nice. I am going to ask a few questions in the forum on this before I attempt it.
Hope you have luck getting a cat. I was thrilled when I got my first one.
