Last night I went on my SMP server, and went spelunking with a friend. We eventually came across a Zombie dungeon, and I started to dig around it. My friend dug a couple blocks out so that she could hit the spawning zombies legs, and when I noticed, I also started trying to hit the zombies, thinking that I would have to just use my bow due to SMP lag not allowing mobs to be hit with a sword unless you target something other than their legs.
Yeah, that's been fixed in one of the snapshots. Same with ghasts. The big problem with ghasts is that you had to aim for the lower part to hit it. How it covers the whole top half as well. I can't count how many times I've shot at the ghast head only for the arrow to whizz right on through.
I have noticed that the render distance in the nether has been reduced, which makes ghasts almost always out of range in normal render.
I hit them. With my fist.
I am shocked.
This is a 1.2 fix right?
Good eh?
GAWD that joke is bad.

I feel dirty just for reading that.
On-topic: I will have to try this, thus far I have not noticed the change.
