Dunno but I created a golem and it followed me for a while before it eventually seemed to get bored and started patrolling my village (which was its intended task anyhow). After patrolling the village for a while it seemed to get board of that aswell and started messing around apparently trying to get on as many rooftops as it could manage. When not goofing off atop the roofs of my village it was jumping onto fence posts from nearby stairs ....... Got into the stream I put in the town enough times that I both fenced it off and put stairs so the dumb thing could climb out if(when) it figures a way back in.
Huh, they should still follow you and attack you if you hit them =) directly and if they can reach you.
If they can't reach you, they will ignore you, even if you hit them.
That was the problem it wasn't close enough to hit me.
You know they can even jump over fences without any other blocks nearby
Hmm so far all I have seen them do fence wise is manage to jump onto them from other nearby blocks and get stuck untill I walk over and push them off the fence manually, hmm of course I say them when what I mean is It, only having one lol
This isn't really an answer to the OP's question.
No, you cannot get iron golems to follow you, but they'll typically patrol the area.
hit it.
LOL but I tried hitting it and it didn't follow me. I beleive this is due to it being player created.
