It could have just been me, but when I downloaded 1.2 (actually, 1.2.2) and started a brand new world, the terrain looked really cool (big mountains, epic overhangs). Maybe I just got lucky, but has anyone else noticed this?
i saw a really weird thing today. it was a sandstone structure with water in the middle of it. it was small but big enough to house somthing. it didnt build at all it was random and it was at the edge of a desert. is anyone else seeing these?
I like the new terrain I'm seeing too. I have no proof, but it seems very possible to me that the terrain generator got more tweaks, in addition to the addition of the jungle biome. I got a very large hill on the edge of a plains biome and the ocean, but it doesn't look out of place in the plains. Reminds me of my first map, actually. And on the other side of the ocean is a low flat peninsula, a feature whose scale and shape I haven't seen in a very long time. Honestly, it feels a lot like 1.7 in thebest ways possible, but with more sense and order in terms of geology. There's more going on in the sea floor, too. Lots of cliffs and stuff.
My nearest jungle biome is right next to a desert, though. Doesn't look good. Geology has order and sense, plants do not.
Yes I am a furry. If a problem exists then can all children avert your gaze. YOU *BEEP* CAN GO *BEEP* *BEEP* WHILE TAKING A *BEEP* ON AN IPAD WHILE BALANCING ONE *BEEP* HANDED ON A TRUCK TRYING TO PLAY FRUIT *BEEP* NINJA!!!!
Since when was there a new biome?

How to not die in a cave
Desert wells were introduced in 1.2 prerelease, not 1.1.
