Is it possible to add a data pack to a server before the world is generated?
I have a snapshot server and I want to play with the new world generation of the Caves and Cliffs Preview data pack.
The trouble is that data packs go into the /datapack folder, which is a subfolder of the /world folder of the server.
So before I can add the data pack, spawn has already been created with a bedrock layer at y=0 with void underneath, instead of the new y= -64.
If I go further out, the new rules apply, but there's a 128 block radius at spawn that's generated with the old rules.
Is there any way around this?
Edit: Nevermind, think I solved it
Made a new world, added the data pack into the folder, ran /reload in the server console, then quit out of the server console without running "stop" or saving.
That meant the spawn area didn't save. So the the next time I started the server, it generated a new spawn area, with the data pack loaded.
At least that's what it looks like from the server console.
