This command seems very fun to play with, but something that annoys me with it is that we can't select more than one thing at a time with it.
If I'm playing in a private server where we want to modify our own stats, we'd have to do every player individually, every time every player respawns.
if i wanted to mess with enemy mobs and play with their stats of random spawned mobs in the world.. I'm not really sure HOW i'd do that, if the command can only affect a single entity in a command, or it'll spit out an error.
Does anyone have an actual clue why this is? Why does the attribute command exist if it's limited so hard? It sounds like it'd be so annoying to use in so many situations.

They changed this with a lot of commands - For some reason Mojang wants you to use the execute syntax if you ever want to target multiple entities, making everything more confusing and the execute command largely overused.
Anyway, you have to use the following syntax if you want to change the attributes of multiple people:
execute as [targets here] run [attribute command here]
In the attribute command, you need to replace any specific target selectors with the selector "@s" and your command should work.

Remember those versions that minecraft pranked us with? Specifically:
Minecraft 2.0
Minecraft 1.VR-Pre1
Snapshot 15w14a
Minecraft 3D
Those are still downloadable! Watch this video for 2.0:
To download the other ones you need to make a folder in the versions folder for minecraft and put the client and JSON file for the versions in there. They all need to be named the same aside from file extensions. Once you do that, you will be able to choose that version when making a new profile with the minecraft launcher.

Haven't tried it, but won't executing as that entity (@s) (while still being able to select multiple) mean you can select multiple entities?
Not sure if it works that way, but thats what I do when modifying multiple entities with the /data command and such.
EDIT: or are you saying you can select multiple, but it spits out an error if you do?
Also, as this is just the first snapshot with this command in it, they might change it in future snapshots...
Please, everyone, if your post is solved, edit the name and mark it [SOLVED]. Period.
