All the time, but yes especially on boat since you're traveling faster. Interesting, makes it nearly unplayable, I dont want to see through the world and it makes walking about just a pain.
One user suggests to try pressing F3 +A, now I don't know if this works as I've only just found the bug report but if not - it really is a case of waiting for the inevitable 1.14.1.

Man try to travel with elytra. Flying through a void I only monitor Y value not to fall below 90 then I'm fine (until I encounter some invisible mountains)
Happens to me as well, but nobody here talks about context of that world.
Where those worlds have been created? In 1.14 or in previous versions? Were there some previous upgrades, like from 1.12 to 1.13 (I always omit the last version number, assume the highest)? Were mods involved?
This matters.
Do I have solution? No. It happens to me as well. World created in 1.11, played on 1.12 with mods, upgrade to 1.13.2 specifically was not possible, had to go through 1.13(.0), but upgrade directly to 1.14 was fine, even performance boost but this happens…

Good point!
My worlds were created in 1.14, single player, no mods.
They mainly work fine overland (on foot) it's boat travel that enables me to catch up and over run the rendering, though I could see how elytra, horses and minecarts could have the same problem
I tried allocating 8 gb of ram out of my 16gb and the game was running on an ssd (cpu i5-8500 never been more than 60% with max settings) and still it was not loading the map. Also there is nothing to do with graphics minecraft is cpu intensive game.

1 copy of an old world (Also doing the "erase cached data thing"), one brand new 1.14 world (SSP no mods) - happened in both, more so the brand new 1.14 one. The F3 + A is only a quick fix in my eyes as it still continued to do it in the brand new world. It's not as frequent, but still enough. I still believe it needs a slight optimization tweak yet.

What about other things? Like java version. I rock 191, ×64.
And arguments are -Xmx8G -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:G1ReservePercent=20 -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=50 -XX:G1HeapRegionSize=128M , used for very long time.
Similar chunk issues on bedrock. It actually helped me though, because on a seed I was playing there was a zombie in some cave under the village that had no obvious entrance that bugged the hell out of me, the chunk rendering issues showed me exactly where he was and I was able to efficiently dig down and kill him (along with filling the hole with torches so they'd never bug me again )

Since 1.14 I get this everywhere, though not sure if it's directly because of the update, can I fix this somehow ??
I'd like to know as well, lowering render distance and graphical detail doesn't seem to help.
I mostly get it when out boating, it's an interesting effect, free Spectator Mode, but it makes it hard to find wrecks and underwater ruins.
Usually the chunks render just before I can get to them but sometimes I can get into an unrendered chunk.
Just testing.

Reported bug here (Yes I have it too)

So you're saying it definitely is because of the update?
Seems that way, I have a GeForce GTX 1070, and have also tried lowering the render distance but to no avail.

Same.
I was suggested the F3+A thing by somebody, it made things a bit better but not much.
Just testing.
Same here. It happens to me some of the time when I am out exploring, and always when I am travelling fast on a minecart.

A combination of F3+A and RAISING the render distance (to 20) seemed to improve things a bit for me.
The F3+A reloading is relatively quick and then it takes a bit longer for me to reach the edge again, not much longer but still.
So, whatever this is, it's not "normal" lag.
I have no trouble at all with the controls, it seems to be purely graphical.
Just testing.

OK, so it's version and origin independent.

Although I doubt it has any impact.
Disable V-Sync in your graphics settings. Apparently, it somehow affects the rendering. Tell others about it, if It helped you
