Everything except for the slow updating, which hasn't happened before 1.7.

4 years ago, I started played MCPE/Minecraft in general. Now, I have MCPC, and I'm still not bored of the blocky sandbox indie. Cuz awesomeness! Got a problem with that?
but what i like the most is that you can respawn the Ender Dragon, it just makes XP so easy (unless they did somthing with the ender dragon XP that i havent heard of yet)
The Ender Dragon is more difficult now though, so it kinda balances out.
what i like (snapshot wise) is that eletra thing that can make you glide, but what i like the most is that you can respawn the Ender Dragon, it just makes XP so easy (unless they did somthing with the ender dragon XP that i havent heard of yet) But ya, thats my opion.
I think each dragon after the first only drops around 15 lvels
I like the boats. The paddling makes it more of a challenge, although boats don't break as easy. Just the right balance.
Yeah the paddling takes some getting used to but not having the boat fall apart when you're too far from shore to put up a crafting table and build another is worth it. I've not yet pushed the limit of durability of the new boats but it's easily several times that of the old ones.
I'm liking most of the new stuff. I've not truly found a use for the chain version of the command block but the repeat one is GREAT to keep the circuit size down since you don't need to add a timer. The new boats make exploring by boat more fun as they don't keep falling apart. The elytra makes for some fun, fast travel. Combat requires a bit more thought. New sounds definitely liven up things a bit. I'm not sure I have just one favorite.......
My personal favorite new addition(s), is the mob ai. I absolutely adore the skeleton strafing.
I can't say I adore the skeleton strafing but it certainly adds to the challenge. Definitely a keeper especially on harder levels. I think my overall favorite though is the command blocks. The repeat block is extremely useful for the stuff I've played with. And I'm quite certain I'll eventually find a use for the chain version as well.
Dual Wielding. I especially enjoy that the left hand is being acknowledged. I'm a left hander myself, so it's kind of a source of identity at this point (I have my skin customized to my dominant hand already).
On a secondary though related note, I like the shields. You're basically wearing your personality into battle.
Pretty much a toss-up for me. End city's or dual-wielding. Plus I like how skeletons and wither skeletons now carry their weapons differently, bringing them upright when they notice you.
Honestly? The boats. Definitely the physically stable boats with the cool animations that are supposedly easy to control now. Everybody's been waiting years for the original, gutless boats to be fixed. You know, the kind that touch things gently and completely lose their mind. The kind that make you dismount 8 meters away for literally no reason. My understanding of 1.9 is that with the new boats, that kind of crap won't happen anymore.

So I was working on this really cool resource pack a while ago, but bad progress nonwithstanding, I think I found something much better... I'm probably gonna never release another custom Minecraft map.Until we meet again...
As a map maker the command blocks for sure help a ton and open up new possibilities. They make things way more reliable, less laggy, and make it so you don't have to use comparators/redstone torches as much. (which were always a pain when trying to reset systems) I'm really glad I never have to use a fill clock ever again too, I always disliked using them. xD I'm never going back to 1.8 ever again.

I always hated how I'd build a clock circuit and it didn't always work the first time so I'd tear it apart and build it again, apparently the same way, and then it would work. With the repeat block none of that is needed anymore!!!!

Let this tell you that I'm not a noob.
And I'm not a 6-year-old whinger either.
The Ender Dragon is more difficult now though, so it kinda balances out.

But the impracticality certainly doesn't detract from the fun of it!!!!!

Oh yeah that took some serious getting used to but they're more challenging now.

But of course.
Being practical all the time gets boring.
I'm just glad that this thread creates positivity. unlike many of the other threads that ask what you dislike about (insert something here).
The Elytra are still my favorite, and I like to make resource packs using them.
why are you making resource packs for something that won't come out before your death (of age)?
edit: jk
Definitely wings and command blocks for a map maker like me

I love that too the new skelly and zombie animations make them look more video-gameish.
