The rumor that Minecraft would soon have seasons was started when Dinnerbone tweeted that he was thinking about adding seasons. That tweet was made more than 2 years ago, on the 15th of April, 2013. Seasons are most likely NOT going to be added to the game any time soon, if at all, ever.

About a month ago I heard 1.9 will have seasons. Is it true? and how will it work? does that mean it will snow in plains.
