I'm surprised it took them so long to finally get around to fixing the bedrock glitch as I actually fixed it myself by simply having the code check to see if a block is air or leaves before placing logs when generating branches (this bug actually affected all trees with branches, including prior to 1.7 although only dark oaks were useful for breaking bedrock under them since trees only check for clearance directly above their trunk).
(note that they mark it as fixed in 1.8.2-pre4, not 1.9, so unless they mean a different exploit this isn't really a 1.9 thing; there was another bug where beds could break bedrock, if only to the sides but it has been fixed as well)
1)the "c" refers to the idea that the Nether is one large cave system biome. Perhaps this means the Nether will be split into smaller and more varied biome-like chunks similar to the overworld. Could possibly be used to merge various dimensional ideas instead of creating individual dimensions and entrance mechanisms to get there.
2)the "c" refers to some vague reference to a different section of the minecraft multiverse that is implied to be anathema to the Nether. Perhaps Crusaders using the zombie siege mechanics might randomly flood through nether portals and beat on zombie pigmen, or could just be a whole new set of mobs that represent this area story (with no plans to actually add this location to the game). Might be kinda nice and fun to have a friendly mob that tries to fight alongside you or at least "for the good guys", or even doing the zombie pigman thing if you took a swing at one.
3)the "c" refers to creation, as in being able to create nether mobs on demand (ie, breeding or zombie villager curing). Probably working in similar style as zombie villager curing, but in reverse. Withers could be made, for example, by applying coal to a regular skeleton.
I hear they said new animations and commands being released. I really wanted an Aether added into it, and more ores as well as tools, but eh, i guess we'll just have to live with this. I also saw a few screenshots of a new block that is blue, i want to call it a packed cloud block.
Quote from TheMoustacheUnderTheHatjumpMight be a while for 1.9, it is before 2.0, and we all know that'll be a milestone. Just be patient, we'll get more news.
Except they addressed this, because fans always ask. 2.0 is not following 1.9. It will be 1.10, just as we had beta 1.10 following beta 1.9. Zeros do not mean the same thing in development versions as they do in normal decimals.

weather change would be amazing like tornado and crap. it would be awesome to just look out the window and see one. and floods too and hurricanes, even tsunamis.
Dinnerbone claims that his tweet got cut off because of the character limit, if I'm not mistaken.

Minecraft is not medieval-themed!!! As a matter of fact, it doesn't have a set time. And when and WHY did putting reponses in the quote, especially long ones, become a trend in the Suggestions? It's rather inconvenient, mainly since the OP has to gather your quote up manually. Avatar made by Endergirl!
On topic: Dinnerbone claims that his tweet got cut off because of the character limit, if I'm not mistaken.
And he taunted us by saying that. I could hear a sarcastic tone when I read that. "Oh dear, what a terrible time to be cut off by the character limit" Dinnerbone is a mastermind. 'Nuff said.
I know this may sound odd, but i'm more interested in the new cloud rendering system then anything. Mostly because the information I found about it is very vague, and I want to know if it will change the way they look, or if they will let you look through them, while in them.. etc.
maybe there will be another mob that will be accidentally created, but will be totally iconic! for instance, instead of making a pig, someone made a creeper shape that notch liked, and now creepers are SOOOO popular!
Illuminati Seizure Frogs confirmed.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
No, I wanted to say that! (something to do with c...)
Putting the CENDENT back in transcendent!
- A new update for Minecraft
OR
- The stupid thread that's going to be created with people hating the update, Mojang, and the world.
I can see it now...

Don't forget this one:
- ItsallMicrosoftsfaulttheydestroyedMinecraftboohooIhatethemfordoingthatboohoo
That says, It's all Microsofts fault, they destroyed Minecraft and all haters will hate them for doing that.

??????
Do explain.
I've got nothing to say.
