The five things you mentioned are all subjective. To me, the rabbits look fine. If you look at the other animals, there is some gradient in the texture, rabbits seem to be colored like someone just made streaks with the pencil tool and said 'good enough'. Even if most textures in the game are simplistic, they still have 'texturing', the slight variance of shade.Experience did not become item oriented, it merely added a cost, with a preview of what you'd get to balance it. I do think it's kind of neat that lapis is involved in enchanting, however, this creates a problem for servers. Enchants become a limited resource and this causes more reliance on already-busy moderators to deal with it. The funny thing about my view point is that, even with that limited resource, I feel enchanting is way too easy, experience is pretty much a pointless thing now (punch one animal in the face and you can get a level 30 enchant). The first system, yeah, getting 40 some levels was ridiculous, but I felt the second system was a balanced approach to that. Then Mojang finally got annoyed by 'lapis is useless just like many other things' and decided to use it in there. And the thing about enchanted books... what? Please work on your grammar. And the new food items are only trying to make minecraft more realistic. i remember when everyone was complaining that sheep didnt drop mutton when they should. now that they do, people say that minecraft is now too easy. So which is it? Do you want mutton or not? You're confusing me. Adding anything is about if it has a reason to be there. Every food had it's own niche, whether it was being hardy, being in a special potion recipe, or being easier to access and therefore lower quality And how have villages become more complicated? villagers now collect and replant crops, and cobble spawns under gravel are the only village updates i can find. How does that make anything any worse? I kept tabs for a long while trying to figure out how villages worked when they first started out with the whole 'in front or behind door', 'has to be
About the bugs, mojang put near the bottom of the update list, in some way or another, "Many many bug fixes". They may not have spent weeks devoted entirely to fixing bugs, but at least they did fix some. Be grateful for once that your minecraft is a little less buggy. Once again, major releases should be fixed until they have very minimal bugs and this is a practice they used to do, they stopped doing it and it makes it a little difficult to enjoy the game at times. People have to update servers and other things all the time because they come out with a new release for every bug fix when the version was supposed to be stable in the first place. They let eagerness get in the way of a stable update by releasing them pre-maturely. We aren't talking about snapshots or pre-releases, were talking about 'stable' releases.
Lastly, concerning the "Big additions", that term is completely subjective. without a standard definition you and i could debate its meaning for weeks upon weeks. I would say changing something isn't really an addition, and there was mostly things being changed in this release. Other than that, it is true that it can be subjective.and about the time it took to make this... Do you know what happened at mojang while they were developing 1.8? Do you know what it took to code what they were implementing? do you what notch and jeb had going on in their personal lives? Do you know what they did to fix the bugs? I would think not. Therefore, you have no right to put a time limit on updates. Think before you complain. One should not add things to the game for the sake of saying 'yay, you get more features now'. If they actually ran out of good ideas it would be fine for them to stop adding to the game. The fact that they keep adding things after they ran out of original ideas and just copy and paste whatever the community comes up with is getting a little nutty. Things like the Wither are incredible and very original, things like making sheep drop mutton are simply the devs catering to the idiots of the crowd.
Well obviously, the guy who started this thread isn't a server owner, a map maker, or a builder. Mojang added unseen features to Minecraft and then some. Coding java is really hard, and I mean REALLY HARD! So just shut up and eat your damn mutton!
Java is probably one of the easiest languages, probably only like C# and BASIC are easier. Servers are much worse for server owners now, they added 3 blocks to build with, so I don't get that?

What happens now is when people report the bugs it will just be marked as a duplicate - even if new information is added.
"Works As Intended" for such as glaring example of incompetence leaves me speechless - especially when doors are 100% vital to a villager's survival.
When other structures spawn in an odd fashion (such as half buried desert temples) it usually won't affect game play at all.
But when village buildings spawn 3-4 or more blocks above the ground then it makes it impossible for the villagers to get back in their houses - which is absolutely vital to their survival.
The village buildings in the code spawn at an average height flush with the ground. Theoretically this should work well to make it even with the ground, but I guess they should only worry about the door height in the code.
Tell Mojang or Microsoft or wherever you need to contact TO FIX THE LAG. In my opinion Minecraft sucks since 1.8 got out because of the lag. Lets change this fighting into something that actually matters in the game.
Let us work together :). Not fight, but work together to fix this issue.
I'm really, really sorry, but it doesn't work that way. I mean, not for lack of wanting it to be that way. Even though 1.8 significantly improved the FPS and stability of my own game, I would be willing to work with everyone else to do what you suggest for the laggers' sake, but... I've suggested a similar thing in the past- everyone get Mojang's attention! Sadly, it doesn't work because everyone doesn't think it will work, and have told me so. So they don't try. So it doesn't work.
They don't even realize that they create a self-fulfilling prophecy with their own actions.
1.8 for me was a disappointment. However, was that due to the fact that Minecraft no longer interests me or that 1.8 actually is terrible? Maybe both, but we'll never know (except the ladder...which is true).

If Microsoft does anything it will make minecraft super-speed for microsoft users (I use Microsoft)
Or vice versa, making Minecraft lag incredibly, making it near unplayable for non Microsoft users (E.G. Everything that's not Windows nor Xbox)..

Why don't you just play with mods on the time Vanilla is working on updates? I mean honestly Hundreds of mods, yet you are saying there isn't enough content?
1.8 brought about so much for map makers ... it helped me with the commands for my map and my maps in progress (gamerule, worldborder etc) and slime blocks!

Finally someone with sense, a lot of suggestions I have see would make Minecraft suck. And I quite like this game. So, I think if there is a feature you want, get a mod for it or make it yourself, as a lot of other people do not want that feature.
Also, this thread has accomplished nothing. Just stop.

Also take a look at this guide if you are requesting builders for a server/project.
Please note, if I deny a suggestion because it is already possible, then I mean it is already possible withing 10 command blocks (That do not spawn other command blocks) or up to 5 creations (Command blocks that spawn other command blocks) to make your suggestion.
If I critique your suggestion I am not hating on you. Learn the difference.

The amount of players and the fact we didn't make the game doesn't magically fix all it's problems. Minecraft has flaws. It isn't an excuse.

Uh, doubt it. They just barely saved themselves by removing Kinect, pretty sure they won't screw up (At least, not yet).
Microsoft already announced that they won't touch minecraft (much)
Phew! So there will still be a PS4 version? Thank goodness!
No removed versions, modders and youtubers won't be affected
YES!
Yes. cause I totally spread gold bars on my toast...
VANILLA, not modded.
And saying to just use mods is no excuse.
