The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
cool but boys might be dissapointed and/or confused that they have a girl skin. girls never cared about steve because they assume since its a game for boys just deal with it, its pretty much genderless anyways.
That's true, but the easiest way to handle it would be to give a choice at the beginning of the game to "chose" which avatar that you want to use - "Steve" or "Alex" (male/female) if they are actually gendered characters. with this particular game, I've not really cared that my character was "male" but it would be nice to have a choice if I could. I'm not one that "has" to play a female character just because I *am* female, but if I have that option, then that is what I prefer. I also don't go out of my way to search out "girly" games or things like that - (yes, I have a shelf of trophies that I won in martial arts a while back before my health got where I couldn't compete any more). I also knit & crochet to ;).
or at least Creepers Maybe they could be another color of camo., like tan - or even, dare I say it - Kaleidoscopic Rainbow Creepers (with some kind of special Explosive change.. yeah... make 'em all Charged Creerps, too?)??
They could look like static on an old-fashioned color TV.
Wait, I thought it was generally agreed upon that steve was neither gender...
What this means is that the player model itself is genderless so that skin artists can have a wide array of options when creating male or female characters. Steve himself is a specific skin that is clearly male. Not sure why everyone is assuming Steve is genderless when clearly Notch was implying that the player model was genderless probably because he had custom skins in mind.
I dunno, I haven't read that interview in sometime.
Does anyone know if this Alex skin is available for download? Because I am only of the 50% of players to have their arms shrink and my skins just do not translate well into it besides some of the female ones which I usually play as.
