Just a quick question, will Minecon ever be held as an event that we, as a community, can attend to as apposed to watching online? I probably won't have the opportunity to attend these, I know that many people would like the opportunity to get their hands on a cape (I would too!).
Hopefully, a lot of people really only want the capes, I know I did in 2013, but before that I really wanted to go for the experience. Also, too many capes are being given out in my opinion, heck, someone was given a Turtle cape for the idea, Miclee had his cape removed DUE to people asking for personal capes... Miclee should get his cape back lol he came up with pigmen.
As they made the event more accessible to fans, I don't see a change any time soon.
I think they will need to review the content of the show, as lasts year's Minecon failed to meet the quality standards of previous "physical" Minecon's.
I believe that they are trying to focus more on more viewer interactive content such as focused panels, but they will need to impress this year to retain a substantial and involved audience.

Yup, they unofficially confirmed it.

Huh? What "standard" exactly? For a live show, i think it's well-scripted and way better than most live event. Almost like a sitcom i guess.

Yay for live chat
Hope for "superchat-like" thingy though.

My Suggestions
If I recall correctly, Minecon was always streamed, physical or not. I remember watching the 2015 on Twitch.
Probably ever yes.
