So my birthday is coming up (in 2 weeks), and i really wanted to go to minecon because of the cape. I've seen on ebay that people have been selling theirs for 70+ dollars. So is that legit? I dont want to get scammed.
There is really no way to know whether it is a scam or not. The seller could easily have already used the code and could claim that you are trying to get the code for free if you attempted to get a refund.
I had a friend who was trying to scam kids and it got turned around to be an attempted scam on him. There are not that many capes floating around out there and I'd guess half will never be redeemed because parents that attend don't care about them. If you have someone selling a cape, I'd say 90% chance it's a scam.
