The question asking how much the servers are going to cost is on twice.
How much does it cost?
We’re not sure yet. It will be a subscription service. One subscription = one server. Only the host needs to pay. The host can invite (whitelist) friends to play on his/her server.

Why pay for something that you can easily do for yourself through a little bit of Port-Forwarding. Most people could easily host a 2-5 player Server for free.
Many people, including myself, don't want to host servers on our own home networks because of security issues, and because server maintenance is quite a lot of work. I had one running for a while, but I got rid of it because I was too lazy to keep it running. Most people would just pay a small amount of money every month rather than worry about getting their network hacked, or keeping the server online and updated.
Would you be able to use these servers for X-Box 360? It would awesome if we could somehow find a way to have these servers so we can even up the height and world limit.

Just an idea.
I don't think it would. It is a great idea though.
Would you need to have a Mojang account to join a server? Another question is does it cost money to get a Mojang account? I have Mcpe and I'm wondering if this will allow people from the country to join our servers.
Mojang accounts are free. Instead of logging in with your Minecraft username, you'd log in with the email adress you purchased Minecraft with. I wouldn't think you'd need a mojang account though. I'm pretty sure that people would be able to join your server around the world, if you whitelisted them.

I remember 4j promising the ability to host 24/7 servers, but we've had no confirmation of a release date yet. It's just presumed to eventually happen.

This sounds cool, but will it be worth is to buy it instead of the free Hamachi setup? I guess it will have way less lag, because it's hosted by Mojang.
