i see why they added the UID's because when someone try's to join my server and they are disconnected i check adn i see that their UID is the same as a person i banned before
Though i just don't get about like if you change your name and your a server admin the owner would have to re promote that name again?

Oh my I would love to change my username...
4 years ago I chose the username "Manstrol" and have hated it ever since.
If I could make a new one I would make it unique not something completely random.
Hopefully this would be added cant wait

I just want to change my name because it really is tiresome of never being able to play on ANY server. When I first picked the name YEARS ago, I didn't expect this game to ever have an online capability. Now I am stuck with this name, and stuck playing single player as well. (My name on here is my name in the game)

Since that's your name in the game I could see why it would be controversial for you to bring that on to a multiplayer server. You are a perfect example of why it could benefit to change your name.

They could even make a little money by charging us a bit for a name change like Xbox does with gamertags.

I've bought 2 accounts because I registered 'Marioman901' for my first one and hate it, i bought it in 2010 when i was 10 so i bought 'jty2012' two years later.

I do need to change my username. <3they've already set up the ID thing

This would be an awsome feature in minecraft. I would probaly even pay a fee for it too. Like something around three dollars per name change. Hope this happens.
