Made a floating castle in my 1.16.4 world that I played around in creative mode for a bit. I based it off of DanTDM's build in his hardcore series. What do you think?
By the way, I did later remove the land that makes the castle look like its on the ground later on, just was too lazy to do a screenshot again.
Honestly, I don't think I will play that world ever again but if I do when the 1.17 update comes out, I will probably be replacing it with deepslate. Any future castle builds in 1.17 will most likely be built with deepslate. Everything about deepslate bricks is amazing, especially the texture and sound. Wouldn't you agree?

I agree, also what's awesome about deepslate is you can use these to make your castle look aged.
And if you're going with a dark enchanted castle look, mixing it with blackstone bricks to make it look like it has soot around the bottom for example, could introduce a great aesthetic if you had a lava moat below.
Or perhaps you could just go with a water moat, in which case moss around the bottom with deepslate bricks behind would work.
If playing in survival I'd suggest building these in a mushroom fields biome,
unless you play bedrock edition, in which case a tundra would work fine seeing as there are no Creepers
in these biomes in this edition of the game.
If you're lucky you may find a Skeleton spawner beneath a mushroom field biome,
and you could use bubble columns to force the Skeletons into the upper sections of the castle you build.

Good, question, when the 1.17 update comes are you going to be using deepslate for your castle?
I think deepslate would add some cool fine details to builds like this.
In fact this is my intention when I rebuild my creative castle in survival.
I was initially going to rebuild it with the exact same materials,
but after seeing the features of 1.17 I've changed my mind.
I think some sections of it would be far better with deepslate bricks.

aww did You make yourself a nice little floating castle, that will go down in History, as the coolest assessment viewed by The Land
Well the land below the castle didn't have much time to enjoy it as I blew it up to make it look better.
