This is just to ask if there have been or will be any opportunities to get one's music in Minecraft, and I'm asking mainly out of curiosity, not that I'm serious about it or anything. Basically, I wrote a song that I think will fit so perfectly into Minecraft. Then that started getting me thinking, is there any way I could. Maybe there's a song submission site I don't know about or maybe even competitions that pop up to submit your music? IDK. Once again, this is just out of curiosity. Thanks

I think it's possible to include new music tracks inside a MineCraft mod/resource pack. I don't know the technical details of how to create one, but if modders can include new blocks, tools, materials etc into the game, I don't see why you couldn't add music as well. I think I remember playing some mod packs a long time ago which changed the music.
So just find out how to create a mod, add your music into it, and you'll be able to let other MineCraft players hear your songs. Good luck!
You can add your own music using a resourcepack, as long as you have the same folder-structure and filenames used in the minecraft jar. I do believe some music resourcepacks are already available if you don't feel like making your own.
As others mentioned, your best option you can post your music as a resource pack. If it is a massive success, and gets hundreds of thousands of downloads, Mojang may notice.

Thank you so much. This is probably the most helpful information I'll recieve. Muchos Gracias

I don't know how it works now, but years ago in Minecraft I do remember it being possible to modify the music in the game by adding in ogg files, which would then play through the jukebox when a music disc was used.

I believe you may still be able to do this, just like you can replace the sounds of gravel, dirt etc. I just don't know where you can find the sound.json file.

The only way to officially add your songs to Minecraft would be done in 3 easy steps
get kidnapped by mojang
get tortured
get forced to do their dirty music bidding
with that i mean that you'd need to get a job at mojang
what is happening?
what what what
it seems like Sarium, the God of Chaos returned....
oh no
Welp, I guess this has been the most helpful comment. I mean, I can't argue with the logic.

First check out this.

Then, might have a look at these regarding the latest Minecraft music contributor. They don't exactly grab someone random off the street.
