2)trolling (look at what I "found" but...psst! I actually made it myself) or potentially a victim of a troll (next episode: friends punking friends, make sure to like and subscribe!)
3)his world is corrupted in some way, causing a small area to generate weirdly (ie, the small patch of bare rock with the emerald is not actually a forest biome but a mountains/extreme hills biome). While such a thing is definitely not unheard-of (I once had a single block of a standard plains biome embedded in a cold plains/ice plains biome where it rained instead of snowed), I believe emerald ore has a height restriction and would not spawn on the surface like this (the placement is sus).

Nor does it generate in veins of multiple blocks, especially not like in the image (there is also emerald ore surrounding 3 sides of the block sticking out. I've found 2 emerald next to each other on a few occasions but the chance of that many is vanishingly small). Also, it should be noted that that just because F3 shows the biome to be forest doesn't mean that the biome where the emerald is in is also forest, it looks like plains to me (emerald can generate a short distance into a biome adjacent to extreme hills but I don't see anything resembling one).
Sorry for the late reply, I'm seriously not trolling, the nearby trees were also generated weirdly, half the leaves normal, half the leaves moved down 2 blocks. I tried opening the same seed again, but I experienced none of these issues. Must have been a weird generation bug. Thanks for the replies tho, I was just trying to see If anyone ever seen anything like this before.
So I was just testing out some texture packs and shaders in a new minecraft world to use for one of my videos, when I found this on the surface.
Any idea how this would spawn?
How about you tell us the seed?
I don't believe it untill i see that generated on my potato.
My projects:
-are abandoned for now. I might pick 'em up in the future.
For now i'm working on a private modpack that suit's my own playstyle.
I am gonna stay in modded 1.12.2 untill my potato dies. No mercy! :Q
Being that he's in a forest biome, either he's:
1)playing with more mods than optifine
2)trolling (look at what I "found" but...psst! I actually made it myself) or potentially a victim of a troll (next episode: friends punking friends, make sure to like and subscribe!)

IMO, this is just another hoax, I have no idea why so many people post these (the last thread like this was just a day ago).
TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
