There's an unnecessary comma at the end of your code. I haven't tried compiling yet, so I'm not sure if that's the problem, but it's worth trying to remove that comma and see if it works. As far as I can tell, custom world generation hasn't changed in the latest versions.

Remember those versions that minecraft pranked us with? Specifically:
Minecraft 2.0
Minecraft 1.VR-Pre1
Snapshot 15w14a
Minecraft 3D
Those are still downloadable! Watch this video for 2.0:
To download the other ones you need to make a folder in the versions folder for minecraft and put the client and JSON file for the versions in there. They all need to be named the same aside from file extensions. Once you do that, you will be able to choose that version when making a new profile with the minecraft launcher.

Alright, I got it working. You had a missing brace after the first "default_fluid" key and you were missing the keys "deepslate_enabled" "noise_caves_enabled" and "aquifiers_enabled" under "dimensions.minecraft:overworld.settings" I've fixed everything, so you can just copy and paste this code:

could someone help me figure how to do this on my own? could they put in bold the things i need to add, remove or change to the following code and make it clear so i can do this on my own without asking for assistance every time a new update comes out. I would so appreciate it.
