I think the mojang devs straight up don't support all of the java players
at all and even some of the bedrock users ever since microsoft bought
minecraft. I will explain why and this has really affected the community
of minecraft as well over the last couple of years.
The 1.9 PVP update is what started this downhill for me. Although I am not
very god like at pvp I still think this was a terrible decision by
mojang. But instead of reverting the changes or fixing them they never
did after all this time. It only took until 1.14-1.15 for them to start
thinking about it which is also it's own issue I will cover. This has
split the entire java community in half.
Mojang Devs keep nerfing like the most useful stuff in the game. Whenever a
game starts nerfing stuff like crazy such as Gold farms, and now afk
fish farms I decide to never play the game no more because that just
makes the game less fun and more grindy than before. I have seen
terrible nerfs in my life such as what fortnite did with the health
boost after kills. Seriously getting a lot of stuff might be required
for the ender dragon boss fight in the first place, these nerfs just
hinder that possibility even more. Sometimes nerf can be good such as
the fact a mechanic is busted like the fact a weapon deals too much
damage, but I feel like the stuff they nerfed wasn't as busted as stuff
like making Notch Apples easily back in the day.
The state of bedrock edition currently. I don't mind some of the dlc in the
game as there is a such thing as free money if you use services like
swagbucks. The problem isn't with the marketplace itself, its with the
fact bedrock is just busted at this point. There is way too much
glitches in not only the game but also on the featured servers.
Seriously, if you go to mineplex on bedrock one of two things can
happen:
Carl the creeper is in the wrong place
Skins are bugged.
I feel like Mineplex just doesn't care to fix anything at this point. I
would really suggest hiring someone with good C++ programming.
Mineville city is also busted the whole resource pack wouldn't even load on my
switch version of the game. I feel like they should had forced you to
download an encrypted resource pack instead of making it server side it
is technically a lot more stable.
Hivemc might be the most stable out of the servers. I feel like they did a
good job with the broken bedrock engine. I only have a gripe with the
fact the pvp feels a bit lopsided because you can only hit the person
after you deal damage instead of a proper combo system. That pvp is just
busted because if you miss one hit you are more than likely dead unless
they miss. This should be reworked in my opinion because it feels off
on what pvp normally looks like.
Lifeboat and Cubecraft are also stable last I checked. I don't have issues with
those servers. They used to be very unstable back in the day because we
all know how busted 1.2 on bedrock was.
4. The recent PVP tweaks they are trying to do with 1.14-1.15 just are
laughable. No one talks about the new pvp they are going to implement at
some point ever since that one tweak they did which makes it feel weird
like an autoclicker. We don't want autoclicker like pvp we want fast
paced, and required clicking in pvp. Also we want fishing rods fixed
too. At the very least I hope they allow us to customize the pvp
drastically and not just be bound by limited options.
There is probably more reasons to hate this game at this point, but I
personally think Minecraft isn't worth playing no more unless they
revert a lot of stuff like reversing the nerfing of some farms for
instance like fish, and villager/iron. I feel like the only positive
note is the fact redstone hasn't been drastically affected like
everything else in the game. Whenever redstone changes players figure
out other ways to fix it and even use some of the new stuff in game. If
you are a redstone youtuber like mumbo, keep doing your job. If you are
anyone else I suggest reverting back to pre-1.16 or pre-1.9 updates on
java. unfortunately bedrock users will be stuck with a 1.16 like update
but at the very least bedrock isn't getting afk fish farms nerfed
drastically like java but I still cannot play the game as it has its own
issues.
This doesn't mean I am quitting minecraft, I am just not liking the game like I once did.
