I recently made a villager breeder, trying to get some new villagers. I used a design that another base used on the server, and it worked perfectly for them, giving them loads of villagers. The design has four beds, as shown in the screenshots, which should be enough. One of the villagers in the farm already has a profession (Librarian) and is almost maxed. The other one does not have a profession. Both were cured from zombie villagers. I've been manually throwing them carrots to get them to breed. After about 16 carrots, they start to show love hearts and breed with each other, but after 15 seconds or so, they show angry particles and stop breeding. I really don't know why this is happening, and would appreciate any help I could get. Attached are some screenshots showing the farm design and the villagers giving off angry particles. Thanks!
Thanks for your advice! I first tried moving the beds down to have two blocks of empty space above them like you said, but they again had the angry particles. I then broke their original beds that they used before they went to this breeder, but they still were angry. I tried as a last resort to move the fence down, but it just made it harder to breed them and they were still angry. There are no other villagers that could have claimed them. I've also noticed that they aren't sleeping in the beds when it turns to night, which I'm not sure if they are supposed to. It's also worth noting that the breeder is right next to a village that has been deconstructed a bit, with many houses missing, so I don't know if they still classify it as a village.

You have to give them more beds
4 beds should be enough but there may need to be 2 blocks of airspace above the beds.
(So the kids can jump on them.)
Villagers can sleep in beds with limited room above them but don't seem to count them for breeding purposes.
(At least in some versions of Minecraft, my practical experience will villager breeders isn't quite up to date.)

If the exact same design works for somebody else then I don't know, I'd still try making the beds more accessible.
No other villagers around that could have claimed the beds?
Just testing.
