I was just puzzling for awhile, figuring out how to do this. Here's the guide (or what I did, at least)
1. BACK UP YOUR SAVES.
2. Delete .minecraft in %appdata%
2a. To do this, go to Start Menu > Run > %appdata%
3. Go to http://www.minecraft.net/download.jsp and download your respective client
4. (Don't know if this is needed) Run MC, then close it
5. Create a shortcut of MC
5a. To do this, right click MC > Create Shortcut
6. Right click the shortcut and select "Properties"
7. Add on the string of commands you wish to use.
7a. For example, JoeBob's MC account (password 12345) wanting to log onto Rapture SMP at 69.197.191.152 would type into the Target line, after everything else,
(space)JoeBob(space)12345(space)69.197.191.152
Make sure there's a space between everything, or this won't work.
8. Hit Okay, then run the shortcut
9. ???
10. PROFIT
JoeBob's shortcut properties window should look like:
(Obviously, the "Games" you see is my target...yours will probably not be the same.)
EDIT: Ninja'd ;-;
Is there a way to automatically connect to a server if you startup a minecraft shortcut.
For example:
I start minecraft and than it automatically logs in for me and join instant a minecrsft server without pressing a button.
Is this what you need?
