I’m going to rent a Minecraft server. My question is, given that I can get a pretty good price on a server with great specifications, like RAM for example, from a non-Minecraft specific host, what are the advantages and disadvantages of getting a Minecraft-specific host, like MCProHosting?
The good thing about a specific host is that you don't have to struggle with the technic so much because they have a lot of staff that is looking if the servers run well...
At some hosts you have also provided preconfiguration e.g. for modpacks or minigames....
I'm also hosting a server right now and it's just much more relaxed because you don't have to take care of it all the time. But you still have complete control over the console and everything else.
