Advice please for a total noob to PC gaming... and apologies if this is in the wrong area of the forum.
Is it possible to install Minecraft on Windows 10 for all users, without paying for multiple licenses? I just want to be able to use it on my windows account and for my daughter to do the same when she uses that same laptop.
It sounds like if I install the Windows 10 version, then I need a license per user.
You need one licence per Minecraft account, if you want her to play on your licence she'd have to use your account.
Even with two accounts it's not all that easy to keep your games separate since the launcher tends to start with the user that played last and keep them logged in, I'm not sure if it's even possible to have it log out the last user automatically so you are forced chose an account to log in.
Of course, if one of you played the Windows 10 edition and the other the Java edition that wouldn't be a problem since they are different programs even if they are pretty similar these days.
The Windows 10 edition is NOT the standard PC/Mac version (Java), it's the console/phone version for Windows 10 PC's (Bedrock or just plain "Minecraft").
If you get 2 Java accounts you may be able to keep them separate automatically by either using separate Windows accounts or by using different launchers (there are some third party launchers, mainly for running modded versions) but I don't really know how to do that.

Just testing.
Ok cool, thanks for confirming, appreciate your response. Cheers!
