so I have 2 librarian villagers and I’ve given them there job blocks I have 5 beds and I’ve thrown them loads of food and traded with them but they still won’t Breed I am thinking that the problem is there librarians and not farmers but I looked everywhere and that had nothing to do with it please someone help!!!
On the floor and no blocks directly above them, even glass or such?
Are the villagers getting heart particles?
Angry cloud particles?
If they don't think there are enough beds they should get hearts and then clouds.
Turn up the particles to max (at least temporarily).
It's been a little while since I tested a villager breeder but then I had glass blocks on top of the beds and the villagers wouldn't breed until I removed them even though they were sleeping in the beds.
And there were other players having trouble when they had the beds up on a wall to save space.
Having farmers is only important if you want them to keep on breeding without you having to give them more food.
I'm pretty sure that jobsite blocks and trading have no effect on breeding, one way or the other.
Screenshots might help spot any problems.
What version of Minecraft are you in?
Mojang tweaked the villager mechanics quite a bit between 1.14 and 1.14.4
(And I think breeding works quite differently in Bedrock.)
Hello, I've the same problems, my villagers don't breed. In the comment of the video I looked to create the reproduction system, there is a few recent ones saying it doesn't work anymore. Weird thing because the video has only 4 weeks and I don't think there was a major update or anything else. The only difference I have regarding the video is my beds haven't contact with the sky but I heard it wasn't necessary. I've 2 farmers and 2 villagers (they doesn't come from the same biome, idk if it changes something, and one villager was already a farmer so I've only one compost). I've enough bed with enough space above them to walk.

I'll post a screen later, I'm not home for now.

Thanks!
There have been minor updates since that video was posted. Villagers need access to the beds to sleep. Also the extra beds to make villagers breed also need to be accessible.
Oh yeah my bad, I just saw the same system on a video posted 4 weeks ago.
The problem is I want all the baby villagers fall in the water, it won't be possible anymore :/ I'll test some design in creative and will see how to make things works !
Ok, as you said, I corrected my villagers reproduction system and now it works fine. I just hope that all of babies villagers will fall in the water but the odds are high I guess !

@Esperax
The video is 4 months old, not 4 weeks.
1.14.1 hadn't been released when the video was made, much less 1.14.4
Whether or not 1-14 - 1.14.4 is a major update the developers messed around quite a bit with the villager mechanics.
As I implied in my previous post in this thread, my impression is that the villagers need to be able to get at and use the beds.
The trapdoors might make the villagers think they can reach the beds if it weren't for the glass blocks.
I'd suggest closing some of the trapdoors, removing the glass blocks above the closed trapdoors and seeing if that makes any difference.
Just testing.
