The poem seems nice, but the Tundrans/Chillagers should ideally not speak to the player. They're implied to have come from the Overworld, after all.
Perhaps the Engineer's death sequence would go something like this:
- health reaches 0
- all reinforcement machines instantly shut down, looking at the floor
- Engineer's core begins emitting loud warning sirens and beams of light
- It starts to rapidly spin and the screen whitens out with a deafening roar, comparable to a passing train
- The screen darkens and you hear footsteps, Tundran mumbling, and the sound of various things being set down.
- When you wake up, you find a book (written with the same characters as Enchantment books), a random blueprint, and quantities of Gear resources in a chest nearby, as well as a boomstick, and will have gained a large amount of experience
- The Engineer's central "pillar" is ruined, it itself has nothing to be seen, the robots are missing, and the room looks ruined and decrepit, with all doors open
- The Gear itself becomes somewhat run-down, with the bricks breakable (indicated by cracks), and the Gearlands around it are "purified", with any robots outside becoming slower and weaker

I like this a lot more than the exposition/lore heavy thing suggested earlier. It's a lot more vague about what happened, as Minecraft should be. Although, what would the book say? Would it just be random jibberish? (The characters used for the enchantment table is the Standard Galactic Alphabet)

Perhaps a modified version of the aforementioned Poem, or maybe something to the tune of:
"We do not know if you can read this, but if you can, we offer our thanks. The people of the Frist are free from the infernal machine for now. We must focus our efforts on rebuilding and preparing for whatever might come, but take these items as thanks for your effort."
The idea is that the Tundrans would not be able to speak to the player- having a different language and writing system (same as the Overworld villagers)- but would leave the book as a "note" just in case you could figure it out. If possible it would look rougher and have the font be a more handwritten one than the current books.

Frist Dimension. 4th Dimension of Minecraft created through collaboration and brainstorming. Join now:
The Gear blocks seems like it fits more in the nether rather than the frost dimension. The alternative to this is probably make it rustier and also remove the glowing bits
That is true, but I wanted the gear bricks to appear alien and malevolent.
EDIT: Now that I think about it, the gear blocks I've made should only exist on the interior. A separate less contrasting block could make up the outside, which is made of a dark wood and iron/gear metal. Things become less and less like the outside world the deeper you venture into the dungeon.
Something that we haven’t talked about, at all, is the Frist’s day-night cycle. The Nether’s enclosed nature allows to escape a day-night cycle, and in the End, there is nothing relative to watch. The Frist, on the other hand, has a blue sky (as shown by the two biome profiles) and mean sentient clouds. To not have some sort of day-night cycle would be lazy, yet to copy the Overworld’s cycle would be equally lacking.
So, to compensate, I propose a completely different cycle. Wolftopia has suggested before that the First is a planet, so what if the Frist was in a binary star system?
Planet Frist orbits two stars- a dim blue supergiant (Blastjerne) and a brighter red supergiant (Rodstjerne). The two stars are 180 degrees apart, but there is a small gap between stars. The Frist does not have any moons.
The Frist’s day-night cycle is extensive and unique. You’ll want to keep track of what time it is, because each time offers its own benefits and drawbacks. The complete cycle for the Frist actually takes 40 minutes (2 minecraft days).
Blue-day
The player always starts out during Blueday, when the blue star is high in the sky. The sky closely resembles the overworld sky, but has a white tint from all that frosty air. There are some clouds scattered about, but beware! Sorrowinds are out to get you. They are more common during blue-day.
Blue-day is Frore mating season, with 40% of all Frore’s spawned babies. In addition, breeding tamed Frores and Mammoths is faster than usual. Wintries are also a bit more common. Global light level is 15, same as the Overworld day.
Blue-day lasts 18 ½ minutes.
Nighttime
Once the blue star sets, the world turns into night. But no need to fear- Frist Nights are peaceful, unlike the dangerous overworld night. No hostile mobs spawn naturally, and blizzards cannot begin. The world appears frozen in time (crops stop growing). But it’s greatest asset are the magnificent Aurora Borealis:
These streaks of green light can be toggled like clouds. The sky is dark navy-purple, if you look closely you can see that the stars make up constellations.
But this wonderful time also serves a purpose. Right clicking the Frist Wand will produce a beam of green light up into the sky, and then a straight “aurora” line will appear in the direction of the nearest Gear. Frist Progression would focus on you obtaining this wand from a dungeon and then using it to find the final boss.
Unfortunately, nighttime doesn’t last very long, at 1 ½ minutes each. The first night is right after Blue-day, and the second follows Red-day. Global light level is 6.
Red-day
All great things must come to an end, and now the red star is rising. The Frist now takes on a twilight appearance, with streaks of reds and purples covering the skies above. Unlike the images shown below, the world is not dark. Global light level is 12, just a bit lower than normal but still far above what would be considered “dark”.
Take the colors of first image, though a bit paler/lighter to match the colors by the sun of the second image. Again, blocks would be well lit.
All crops grown in the Frist during red-day work twice as fast. Blue-day crops take about 75% as long Overworld crops, so Red-day crops are about 150%. Blizzards are twice less common, but beware- when they do strike they’re are twice as strong.
Red-day is Frore hunting season, with Frores spawning much more than before. To counter them, Yetis move up their caves and begin watching the mouths of the caverns. Scared of all the predators, Tundrans consider Red-day “sleep time” and hide inside their airships (refusing to help).
Red-day last 18 ½ minutes and is followed by another short night, thus completing 40-minute Frist Day-Night Cycle.
Conclusion
We are now left with three very different Frist appearances. The first, the blue-day, is centered around the early stage, with the main threat Sorrowinds and Wintries. While there are still Frores and Yetis (the two apex predators) they are less common/optional. Increased breeding for tamed mobs also supports this youthful theme.
In contrast, red-day is focused on the later stage. Crops grow faster, but you’ll need to protect them from the hungry Frores and ravenous Yetis. Tundrans won’t be much help unless allied. Even the blizzards are matured- less common, yet twice as strong.
The perfect balance between red and blue is night, where things are peaceful. Nighttime represents the middle stage, where the player is preparing for their fight against the Engineer. The calm before the storm, if you will.
But the real reason I want these is because they’d look cool.
Epic. I love all of the ideas you've presented here. My only suggestion is that maybe some time (4 or 5 minutes) should be taken from red-day and given to nighttime since nighttime is only a 26th of the time of the entire day/night cycle.
I also have a few ideas to put on the table, two of which are somewhat related to this:
1. If it's confirmed that the Frist is a planet, could we have a rare Overworld even where you can see the Frist? It could look like this:
Maybe there could also be an event in the Frist where you could see the Earth.
2. This might be too far-fetched, but what if there were "solar flares" that could rarely come down and do destruction in the Frist? (Reasoning: Maybe the Frist doesn't have an electromagnetic field to protect itself from solar flares.) Having a natural force of great heat like this could create an interesting contrast between the cold of the Frist and the heat of the solar flares.
3. What about random events? I think it'd be cool to have events in the Frist similar to how there are invasions in Terraria.
Went and made a proper blurb for the Tundrans on the google doc, as well as fleshed out how their alliance system works.
Basically:
Have enough popularity and the "alliance mode" kicks in.
When you are heavily wounded in a fight, on your last legs, 2-4 Tundrans will spawn nearby outside your FoV a short distance away.
They will attack the enemy with their boomsticks until it's dead, then amble around the area like normal.
These Tundrans count as ones from the nearest "friendly" village (either a hamlet, airship, or repopulated town post-Gear) and are teleported away from that during the event, thus you can't game this system to add more Tundrans to a village.
Once you leave the area, instead of despawning they teleport back to the village or simply walk back if it's close enough.
ok, I'm commenting here because replies are being weird, But that seems, to me, Like a Get out of Jail free card. It's basically me helping the tundrans fight off one or two raids, And then them coming to save me any time I might be in alittle bit of danger. If you're near a Village and one of them sees you being attacked, then they would most definitely come to your aid, But if i'm in the middle of a wasteland with no tundrans in sight, they shouldn't just come out of nowhere and help me.

The best way to handle this is to have tubdrans have a sight range, perhaps 48 blocks. Within that range they will rush to protect you no matter the danger. This doesn't require much of an opinion.
If you have a high option, you can go to the town hall hit a gold "bell block". Six tundrans will march up to you. This "party" will follow you around for the next 40 minute cycle.

I guess more time could be added. Unlike day and night in the overworld, blue-day and red-day will be long periods of time, so you get to do everything you want in each. I wanted to make nighttime is a blink and you'll miss it period. If you go mining you would even realize it was night until you come out.
1. That Frist planet texture is nice and it would be a shame if we didn't use it. We still haven't decided on how to get to the Frist, but maybe when you re leaving the overworld the planet appears in the sky. Vice versa for going back.
2. By solar flares, I assume you are suggesting launching fire onto the ground very rarely. I think fire is more of the Nether's thing.
3. I'm not too sure with this one. The only random event I can think of is gear mobs "invading" a certain biome for a day.
The poll has closed with a 2-4 vote. Shivern wins and is hereby the name of the plant the Wintry eats. Frostlength, the tribe has spoken.
3. I'm not too sure with this one. The only random event I can think of is gear mobs "invading" a certain biome for a day.
Gear mobs invading a biome could be really neat. I was also thinking of an event where the snow trolls (or some variant of them) came out in large numbers and attacked players and tundrans.
I think we should move on to deciding how players enter/exit the dimension, and then we should create some concept art/descriptions/videos on the boss fight.
My proposal for an entrance:
Glacial Arches
This is based on a real phenomenon.
Whether or not a regular, non-Frist-related version of these spawned is up for debate, but the actual entrance would be as follows–
Found in the frozen oceans among tall icebergs, the Frist Glacial Arches are all at minimum 50 blocks tall (from sea level to roof) and act as a portal to the dimension known as the Frist.
Though the outside of these arches would be covered in a layer of packed ice, the inside would be made of "charged fristum," a variant of fristum that has a blue enchantment glint and is unbreakable. This is to prevent players from destroying the arch. And yes, if this were included in the Community Revamp you would be able to sail your ships through it.
The actual thing that teleports you (and other entities) to the Frist is the portal blocks that fill the area of the arch that is above water and below the roof. These are very transparent and are a light, crystal blue. The portal blocks shimmer like a diamond would in real life. Anything that is in the water directly below these portal blocks also gets teleported.
As is my current understanding of the Frist (correct me if I'm wrong), the Frist is made of floating islands similar to the End, but they are all floating on a sea of liquid nitrogen. I am going to use this as a basis for the following–
You enter the Frist in the sea of liquid nitrogen, where you will have to climb up to get on the islands. Going back through the arch returns you to the Overworld through the same arch you came in.
What do you think of this idea for an entrance/exit?
I like it! The only thing I would change is the veer shield texture.

If you do have silk touch it will drop the tendrils of frostlength, which looks like the design from the menu.

Check out my suggestions! Here is one of them:
