It's kinda funny, I just recently named a town on a server called MINERS cove. What a coincidence.
Anyhow, I really wanted my town to be named after a location from The Lord of The Rings, and have the buildings look like it too. Unfortunately my sister didn't like any of the names of the popular places in LoTR, so we went with a lesser known one. We named the town Erech, after an abandoned Gondorian fort that was taken over by Uruk.
Enough with my ramblings though, let's think of a name for your town. Oftentimes it's better to first build the town and then name it because a name comes to you, but if you want a name now, I actually really like Blackadder's suggestion of Riverwood Falls. Riverwood happens to be a town in the game Skyrim, and even the terrain looks like how you described it.

Thanks rkpkid! I actually never would have thought of something from LOTR myself, that being said, I quite like your idea too!
I play on a Towny server called "Crafters Cove".
And I have not been able to think of a name for my town
So if you think of one, let me know in the comments
-It is by a River
-It is in the forest
-It has a lot of hills/mountains
River- By a river
Wood- In a forest
Falls- mountains, you can fall off them
Riverwood Falls

Thanks, I think I will do that.
I like Blackadder's suggestion, too of "Riverwood Falls"
Will do! Thank you for the name, I would never have though of a name like that.
Dont give all the credit to me! Skyrim helped xD. If youve ever played it. Its the first town you go to. And no problem! Glad to help!
