I have been playing minecraft for a long time but just recently I got a second minecraft account for my sibling so we could do LAN worlds, etc. This is where I am having problems. I have created and played LAN worlds successfully with my friends but it is not working for my sibling. If my sibling opens a world to LAN on his computer I see it on mine but if I try to join I get this error message after a little while of connecting to server:
java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: no further information:
However, If I open a world to LAN it does not even show up on his computer. I have tried allowing Java.../Minecraft... through the windows firewall (checking each java/minecraft entry and selecting private) on both computers but this doesn't seem to work.
