Ok, it's a bit odd, but I'm attempting to take my current minecraft world and essentially give it new generation rules by pasting it into a different world. I know I need to transfer my region, stats and playerdata files. Is there anything else that I would need to transfer to make sure everything from the old world (other than generation settings and related things) transfer into the new one?
OR
Is there a way to edit the "biome sizes" option after generating a world? This would means that new chunks would generate with a different biome size setting.
p.s. I'm doing this because the biome size is currently set to 2, and it is apparently too small for villages to spawn in. I checked a lot of spots that Amidst says they would be (and the new one does look at your customized settings) and none were generating.
From what little I know this is a bit complicated. There are two possible solutions that I can think of and I only have experience with one of those ways.
1) You can use a world editor like MCedit to just copy and paste what you want to save from one world into another.
2) I believe you could modify the level.dat file using an NBT editor of some sort. But I am unsure where biome size data is stored. I see HERE on the wiki regarding level.dat file that the generatorName tag controls the world type and that the generatorOptions tag contains the customized world options listed in a sort of JSON format.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
