I am really impartial, as most of my houses are built for purpose, such as next to a village, ect. that any doors are towards where I would most normally go. However, my beds are always placed towards the sunset.

Hi.
Does anyone find it funny that the Minecraft forums still think that Minecraft is misspelled? Or is it just me?
I'm sort of impartial as well and build willy nilly, but it is nice to have a window that frames the sun as it comes up. I just did this by accident on my hardcore world, it also rises over a nice flower biome - what a view!

I do like building in a place with a good view. The sunsets in minecraft, even using the default texture pack, are really nice looking. So I do like building so that the main 'picture window' in my base tends to face the sunset.
I just build what is most convenient to me kinda like 010101b. I like the sunrise more but i noticed that the sunset alligns perfectly with my house making it look like the sun is apart of my house. which i always find cool and amazing to look at.

I haven't quite noticed this myself. I mostly just place the doors in convenient/good spots for entry/exit, etc. Although I haven't been on my SP in a while, so I'm not sure if it faces E or W.
Over the last few months of playing minecraft I have found that when I randomly build a house in survival with no regard
or care to which way it faces, I find that the door is usually facing the direction the sun sets. Was wondering if anyone
else experiences this and purpose the question do you prefer sun rise, sun set or both or impartial.

i like to build in a specifed places like infront of a river,a village,in the high mountain, infront of a lake...etc
but yes.. everytime i build the house i got the door facing the Sunset...
but hey it looks cool
I'm just a very boring person.
I enjoy looking at the sunrise, so I tend to face it that way

Figured it was time for a change.
I place the door where it is most useful. Meh.
