I was in love with Minecraft... A long time ago. But know it is getting seriously boring. I'm not doing this for attention, I just want to know if I'm the only one who goes on Minecraft once every two weeks plays for 2 minutes then gets bored. You guys get the point.
Umm... I don't know? Not post it on a forum that is only about minecraft. Anyway. Get mods, maps, join servers, play with friends, play hardcore, try redstone, build crap in creative mode, and just look around at the pigs and trees. Done. If you do that and you are still bored, you sir, are a rock.

Try this Modpack. It's really fun and challenging, and if you're not among the best of players, you WILL die often. I suggest /keepInventory true.

My avatar-Madison Gotha. She knows various weapons, she's a mage/sage, and is somewhat immortal. Madison has the capability of taming and communicating monsters, a genetic trait passed down by her father. 26 physically, 1400-something mentally, and a Lofty Peakian/Zenithian mix. Doesn't really like being called an elf and hates being called human..
I might be Moderator, but don't bother treating me too special. And don't make tons of Ban Hammer jokes, please. Also, I'm an Off-Topic only Mod. Don't ask me to lock a thread or something if it's not in the off-topic
Your not alone, not even mods or maps make it interesting, sure there cool but it doesn't make a difference, it just adds new things but it's the same game, Punch a Tree, Mine Coal, Blah Blah Blah
I still pick it up once and awhile but that's about it

Really bro??? If your bored of Minecraft YOUR BORED OF MINECRAFT its not fun to play on servers if you don't like building and playing normal Minecraft. etc
I blame it on dopamine overload with the younger generation. Minecraft is not the thrill a minute kind of game, meaning it will not have long term appeal to all of its player base, I imagine the demographic most likely to find longevity in the appeal of Minecraft is a more mature one.
That's rather true. Although not all children are hopped up on GTA and CoD and L4D, there are quite a lot who play for the rush. I can say for certain there are children who aren't like that, although not many. I play the Mod Pack from earlier less because it has lots of difficult mobs, but more because it provides lots of things and places to explore.

If you don't like survival/building, there is always pvp/minigame servers and if you don't like those then why'd you even buy the game? I mean 2-3 years ago pvp/minigame servers were still really popular about 4-5 years ago is when survival servers were the jam... I really miss those days anyways, you can always do things like adventure maps, modpacks, pvp/minigames, building, survival, making maps, making a mod, what I think is really cool and fun lately is Minez 2, just an idea
Been playing MC for years now and never tire of it. There's a million ways to switch it up with mods, new servers, new worlds and playstyles. I will be playing this game until I am no longer able to.

If you're bored of Minecraft you probably shouldn't be posting on the Minecraft Forums. Anyway, some servers are really fun. Take Mineplex for example. Or Hypixel, Cubecraft, etc. They're all very fun and completely different then vanilla. And if you don't like servers, you still have so many options. You could build stuff, play around with command blocks, mess with mods, play PvP against your friends, spawn a bunch of zombies and then fight them, maybe even build your own adventure map! The only limit in Minecraft is your imagination. (I've tried thinking of limits before...so far I haven't found any.)
Cant help someone who doesnt want to be helped, what I do when I get bored is give myself strength 255 and oneshot the ender dragon with a shovel, sort of like that meme were the chick gets a shovel thrown at her...

I bought the game like 3 years ago I would play it for hours a day until one day it just got boring.

Bro where else is reasonable to post this?? My school website?
Of course people get bored of it, in their hundreds of thousands. They just uninstall, find their next game and move on. I'm not wholly sure of the purpose of these threads, except as a way to get people to try and talk you into continuing playing.
Minecraft is no different to any other game. People get bored, they play something else. The only major difference I can think of is that it's a sandbox game and in theory has a far greater longevity than objective games.
However, if you're done, you're done - there's no stopping that. You can always redownload at a future date should the need arise.

What you're describing sounds very much like burnout, and is common when playing games you "absolutely love". Do something else for a while. If the game is boring to you, forcing yourself to continue playing is just going to breed contempt for the game. Taking a break and finding something else to occupy your time is a much more mature response. Especially if that break also includes something that broadens your interests instead of enforcing what you already know you like.
Personally, I'm finding myself playing video games in general less often. My focus in life is shifting, and sitting in front of a glowing screen no longer holds the meaning or appeal it once did.

Stop playing. Don't play Minecraft for a while, then come back and it'll be all good.

Some other forum related to gaming. Or any off topic forum, such as Kong or 4chan
I see what you mean... Sort of. I have gotten bored of Minecraft once before, but, believe, you me, it won't last.
