I am 45 and feel like I'm still just scraping the surface of the game. The kids are OK and sometimes I do get some good advice on how to do things from them. Other times, I roll my eyes when their age shows in their behavior. Perhaps some adult-only servers would be fun so we don't have to self-censor ourselves quite as much when we are talking.
I know how you guys feel even though im about to turn 18, apart from being older than everyone i meet and the only girl, i always feel singled out haha. I just love to play UHC honestly
I am 45 and have been a gamer since the 1980's and will be untill the day I die. I have been married and have 2 teenagers and yes I have been a single parent sine my daughter was 6 months old and guess what both my kids are gamers as well. Minecraft is a natural out lit for creativity in the modern age. Getting passed the stigma of being an adult gamer is some thing I have fought aginst for 25 years and am glad to see that minecraft has many of us old timers still fighting for our rights to have fun.

I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!
Hi all! 59 yr old mom here! I've played video games most of my adult life since Atari was introduced. Minecraft is a fairly new game for me...playing mostly World of Warcraft, Battlefield, etc. before this. I'm obsessed now. My 30-yr old son introduced it to me months ago and I've been loving it ever since. Not sure about joining public servers but I'm tempted! I'm not at all intimidated by younger gamers. I'm proud of my game play....ask my adult "kids".
Well I feel young going on this thread xD . I just played a year ago, and let's just say my learning curve isn't the fastest (I get lonely when I remind myself I'm the only person with my own brain in an entire world - I think too much).
Kind of nice seeing this thread and seeing how many people view the game and what they enjoy.
I'm 21, I started to play MC when I was going through Sims withdrawl.... So I tried a demo after seeing many college friends play it, and whoo! I was impressed and bought it within 20 minutes. Thank goodness to a friend and youtube I'm still able to play (even though there is times my computer is fighting me...). But! At the moment I'm looking for a small server, since I'm only interested in vanilla/survival big servers just look frightening. So until I find that good server that clicks with me, I'm trying to do a city Challenge mixed with colonizing and protecting Spawn.
I'm 47, and love Minecraft. I have played it on the XB, but got irritated at it on consoles, so I decided to break down and get a computer that would run it well. I'm happy I did. PC is way better. I'm currently on two servers, one is Dataless822's, and the other is a friend of mine's. My friend only has people we know, but are thinking of inviting a few more on board. I love to play and wind down from a hard day's work. Also, shooting the s#%^ with your buddies while playing is fantastic. lol
I'm 37, love Minecraft, and I have a small but cozy You Tube channel. I do get tired of being treated like a relic (especially by people looking for people to play on servers, LOL) but mostly, people think it's cool that I'm a gaming Mom. So I'll take it. And hey, in 20 years, I'll be a cool gaming Grandma. LOL

I wander through CTM maps, getting lost, fighting monsters, and somehow accomplishing things. I'm never too sure how, but I do. Come join me, pets!
I am 48, and have been playing for about a month. I have it on both PS4 for my nieces/nephews, and PC for me.
On the PS4 version, I have different skins for the kids to goof around with.
On PC, I play Survival with no mods at all, most recent 1.8 version. Only change from original game I use is my Cthulhu skin for my avatar. That's it.
As far as being goofed on for playing a "kids game" uhm sure...because 6 year olds build complicated logic circuits with redstone? It's a kids' game at a glance, but it's a legit "all ages" game across the board because while there is silly kid stuff to do, there's also unlimited adult level brainteasers, engineering problems, process/operations management, etc. Seems to me the game supports all sorts of complex adult playstyles, goals, methods, etc.
I'm 47 and play on xbox 360, my GT is : WrittenVenus40, I'm really good at gathering resources, I do like to build underground and close to water because I like to create a glass wall looking into the water. I'm also into potions and getting food supplies going. My 4 yr old son does like to play but he knows he's not allowed on my account so he won't ever be a problem.
I'm 23, married, army vet, paramedic student. I just turned my single player map into a server to play with my little sister who's 17. If you'd like to play survival my server is 3 gigs of ram and is up 24/7 with backups and anti grief measures. right now it's just her and I who play so feel free to pm me and I can add you and you can join. I've been playing for a bit so I already have an irontitan and my own base so i can help you out starting up also
I'm 49, and hate video games. I have kids that are younger than my age suggests, 9 and 15. I was watching them play, and it looked like fun. I am still learning, the hardest thing was the controller (PS3). I am single player only, but might consider a server someday. My kids, at least my oldest, plays with a lot of nobility I can't imagine playing on a server with a bunch that didn't.
Hello I m 45 yrs old and fairly new to the game. I know I am not the oldest or youngest , I am just a gamer who likes to play games.
I am 53. I have been playing MC for a little over a year. I now own it several platforms PE, PC, and PS4. I enjoy the PC version best.
I started playing Zork! Always enjoyed Civilization and SimCity but find MC a great game. Have yet to get on sa server in multiplayer.
Carlisbad is PS4 which I play most often. Enjoy!
Just have to find the right server, there are quite a few 18+ servers out there that use whitelists to prevent that from happening.
I run a server called Dadcraft for adults only the oldest on my server is 69 years young . great group of people

I'm 33 and today is my third anniversary on Minecraft (Timehop told me). And I accurately predicted a huge drop in productivity

Yeah, I only play single player too. I've never been on a server.
i'm 32 and i have been playing since beta. I only play single player, so i can't say whats the situation on servers.

I'm 43, the whole family plays, & my son & I are learning to design mods. Minecraft is awesome.

I'm almost 25 and love the game more than anything else.
