In the past few years a couple of games with mod support have had some major games come out of them. For example DayZ came out of Arma II and Team Fortress, Counter-Strike, Portal and many more came out of Half-Life 2. My question is do you think a game will come out of Minecraft? What genre do you think I'll be? Would it have the same blocky graphics? What do you think?
Personal Opinion - I believe a game will come out of Minecraft it'll most likely be an adventure/role-playing game. I think I'll still have the blocky graphics but more like how Cube World is. However I don't think this will happen into quite a while.
Maybe a game that's exactly like Minecraft but with realistic graphics.

Depending on what you mean by "come out of", Minecraft may have already started. It basically created a whole new genre, so anyone who is contained within the same genre as Minecraft could be considered as a result of Minecraft.
It's quite possible that a huge adventure/RPG mod could basically make a whole new game out of Minecraft, although it's highly unlikely due to how modders constantly have to keep up with new versions.

They could stay on a single version and update on there own like the Aether mod does.
I just thought of one the Aether mod is becoming a game!

It would probably turn more into a roleplay game (Which I am quite fine with) but still be a sandbox. There would probably be a lot more to explore... Coral reefs, jungle forts, etc... I'm not so sure if they would make the graphics more realistic or not now that I think about it. They have kept the blocky graphics the way they are for a long time. (Besides changing a few textures) Maybe they would add an option to have the graphics more realistic? But I guess that would just be the same as a realistic resource pack...

Rust?
Open-World isn't a new genre, how did Minecraft make new genre?
Edit:
This is a better example for Rust: http://store.steampowered.com/agecheck/app/252490/

I don't see Mojang as the type of company that sues any game dev that creates a game that has features similar to their own.
That being based off of the amount of Minecraft clones already out there and the [lack of] legal action taken against them.
