Oh, of course! Bazookas too! Oh we should also be able to make tanks and nuclear missiles!
No.
your implying this is a OP suggestion in it of itself, without ever looking into anyone's suggestions on guns. Your also jumping to large generalizations based on little to no evidence.

I do not believe that this is my imply or whatever (that grammar of yours) guns should never and will never be added, when combat gets buffed you will see why.
ALSO IF THE MOD API EVER COMES OUT WE WON'T HAVE SUGGESTIONS ABOUT THEM EITHERRRRRR... Yeah the mod API is never coming.

how do you know that's what any gun will do (instant hit) in most of the ideas. They are a projectile just like the arrow with limited range and worse accuracy for the most part, in people's suggestions. Also, have you ever shot a gun, guns require lots of training as well to be proficient IRL.
Give a man a bow for the first time, and he won't even be able to draw the bow properly.
Give a man a gun for the first time, and all he has to do is pull the trigger.
have you read any of the ideas, you are assuming without seeing anyone's suggestion, that they will be instant hits, and kill in one to two shots (bows kill in 2 shots some of the time), also, you are saying that the guns won't have bullet drop, have accuracy issues, or a reload (recharge time) like the bow, when in reality they do include that.
If guns added to Minecraft were nerfed that heavily, then what's the point of adding it in the first place?
Just a re-skinned bow&arrow with useless bells and whistles?
Give a man a bow for the first time, and he won't even be able to draw the bow properly.

He means that the gun will stick out like a sore thumb compared to the medieval and fantasy weapons of Minecraft.

This exactly.

dumbest thing I've ever heard, you've obviously never shot a gun, do you know how many rounds a year law enforcment officers have to go through to be proficient with their service weapons, thousands, and even then the range is only to like 45 feet with a pistol, and upto 100 yards with a rifle. Why do we have different swords with different damages, all they are is re-skinned swords with different damage and durability levels.
Oh also black powder muskets are way more complex than just pull the trigger.AND ANOTHER THING!
So are you saying if I smith a sword i should give it a different design simply because it is made of a stronger material? You're not even trying to make an agrument.

I'm saying smiths make swords and armor all the time, blacksmiths don't just make gunsalso, minecraft is not in medieval theme, and a second thing, guns were made in medieval era anyway.

The different swords are different sword "tiers." Similar to how the crossbow in MC would fit as a higher tier to bows.
Which tier of weapons does the gun fit in? Or will we have to suddenly add a dozen guns, a dozen gun parts, and a dozen ammo types to make it work?
Also, if you're so intent on adding guns to Minecraft, then please explain in detail how they would be crafted, how they would work, what ammunition they would take, its abilities and mechanics, etc.
Let's see how balanced you can make it without rendering itself or any other item in MC useless.

Um what? When did I ever say Minecraft was set in medieval times?
And no, guns were NOT made in the medieval era.
Medieval warfare focused on fighting with massed manpower, using line and column tactics and strategic arrangements.
This type of fighting was ended by the introduction of gunpowder and firearms, which brought the era of early modern warfare.

read the idea in my signature, and the argument for firearms, you'll be surprised about the dates of everything.
Its not that they don't fit in, it's that they ruin the point of the game! If you want to shoot things and laugh as they burst into blood, go play COD. Minecraft would be to easy if guns were present and there would be no challenge. terrible idea.

here is your argument
"hey we should add guns"
you: "no they are overpowered, you go back and play cod"
OP never specified how he would implement them, so your basing the OP part on literally nothing.
bottomline, you have schizophrenia, making up that OP ever suggested an idea for guns.
Exactly. People want more ranged/ melee weapons. Personally, bows need a stronger and more expensive version to actually hurt diamond geared people(bow full power is about a heart)
Mojang might just add crossbows. Its what people wanted. You can't hate on them for it, because you know you wanted ranged weapons.
Personally, I don't want guns. I want Minecraft to stay original and not copy paste things into the game.

keep in mind, bows, swords, and crossbows are used as much as guns in games, (basically every RPG, fighting, and alot of strategy games)

Ok, so I guess that driving a bullet through the head of a zombie would only do a few hearts of damage right? that would be ok then. your the one with a mental issue if you think that implementing guns is a good idea.
read the idea in my signature, and the argument for firearms, you'll be surprised about the dates of everything.
And you ended up adding dozens of pointless items just trying to add guns in Minecraft. Which exactly proves my point.
And no, the dates do NOT surprise me. I've already read it word for word on Wikipedia, no need to reiterate copy&paste it for me.
keep in mind, bows, swords, and crossbows are used as much as guns in games, (basically every RPG, fighting, and alot of strategy games)
What? skyrim? I don't know nearly as many medieval games as I do games with firearms. you just don't get it, It has no point besides running around with the ultimate combat weapon killing everything that so much as moves, gaining an insane amount of XP and drops with barely any effort. BAD IDEA

you still haven't read anyone's ideas have you? tsk tsk. Most of the firearm suggestions aren't that overpowered; let me give you an example (using the best gun in my idea):
god bow vs god diamond armor: damage done= 0.5-1.5 hearts of damage
god improved musket vs god diamond armor: damage done= 0.65-1.95 hearts of damage
although that may seem like a massive increase, keep in mind other stats of the firearms, like reload time, accuracy, and cost

And swords and longbows were from which time period? The Cambrian?
pointless, it adds the barrel, two receivers, the ammo (3 types), and stock which is 7, the actual usable item doesn't count as pointless.

if your trying to make a point that guns are out of minecraft because of how old swords are, let me tell you how electricity, pistons, and self propelled minecarts are all from 19th century, also don't make argument that redstone is not a in game version of electricity, most people agree it is an in game version of electricity.
