If anything, I regret not posting this on Monday to provide some relief from all the "Minecraft 2.0 is an April Fools Joke" threads. It probably would have been buried by them all, but hey.
In, but if you make it so the door looks like the second screenshot while it's open then zombies can't break it so that can be pretty helpful!

I didn't know people put doors like in the 2nd picture. That looks very weird in my opinion, but I guess I have always put them inside like a normal person.

I put them on the inside, but normally a double door because they look good. I like having pressure plates, but I only put them on the inside so that the mobs cant come in.
People do the 2nd option? What i've always seen is either the door is parallel to the exterior wall (option 1) or parallel to the interior wall (Epik's post).
Back when this sort of thing mattered (before, if the door was like option 1, you could hit enemies through the door and if you inverted it enemies could hit you through the door) I had it as option 1 since it was better for defending a home (back when mobs were a threat). Ever since that was fixed, I just kept doing that partially out of habit and partially because IMO it looks better.

Did something happen to you in your childhood to give you this unreasonable fear of rutabaga?
Do you place your door in the blocks?
Or do you place it outside of the blocks?
