There's nothing I can really do about it, and it is my fault for not making backups on flash drives XD
My computer died a month ago and I lost the world I've been working on for over a year D:
I have an old thread for it with a mediafire link. Unfortunately the thread is a year old and the link was deleted. FML!
If you're curious about the world I lost, I have a link to a more recent thread in my siggy with pictures
Moral of the story: Back up your worlds on flash drives and sites that won't delete your download after a while.
It would be sad to start over from scratch, because the world was about a year and a half old. I don't have a year and a half to rebuild something great because by then I'll [hopefully] be in college or the military if not.
You don't need to cry! Why cry when you can be happy? Sure, you lost the world, but you gained a story!
"And this one world, I've been working on it for a year and a half!"
"Cool story, bro!"
"I had this one world that I worked on for a year and a half, then my hard drive ate it."
"OMG that sucks, I'm so sorry!"
Which one sounds better to you? No offense but I see one boooring story and one that's worth some feelings! I mean sure, you had a lot of cool stuff built but everything's got to end sometime and now you've got an ending worth telling! So don't be sad, it may not have been what you wanted but you can still be a winner if you want to be!

"Sometimes, I just wanna give up, say 'I'm done with this mess' and go to bed. But you know what; you can't shrug off your responsibilities. You got to pull yourself up and meet the challenges head on. That's the only way you're gonna get ahead in life."
Computer died as in it is a portable computer and the battery life depleted or the system does not boot up? If your situation is either, you can still recover files by removing the harddrive from the computer.

Does anyone have a shoulder I can cry on?
I once lost 4 world because my HDD failed on me
I backed up but not on external drive,so everything went away like that, not just minecraft but all my whole other precious stuffs.
Don't worry pal,you are not alone, many of us got deleted worlds too
Cry some more if you're not going to do anything about it. Just sit and cry... over a game
Wow, that was really uncool of you. =/
He just completely lost something that he spent over a year and a half working on. Why would it matter if it's a game when so much time and effort was put into it?

But he wasn't wrong either,it wouldn't be nice if you cried over a game, because after like a month you might totally forget about it and regret crying over a game just like me i almost cried over my lost worlds but then i prove myself that i can create a new and better world, since then i never thought of my old worlds anymore
So @OP hold your cry as much as possible then just move on,remember you can't change time or have any second chance, time moves on and so must you...
