No. They don't get the full benefits of normal users. That and it's proven that people that pirate things are more likely to then buy the full version if they like it. If someone's on the fence about buying something, and there's no option to pirate, they're not going to get the full version anyway. The pirated version, being half of minecraft (practically), gives the deciding factor in it and incentive.
No, some may not have the money to buy the game. Others may want to give the game a test run (before the demo was implemented). The only time I would have a problem with someone pirating it is if they have the money to buy it, and for some odd reason they pirate it.
I don't hate them or like them. I just don't care. Mojang is basically swimming in a river of money right now, and there are plenty more users buying Minecraft right now to make up for the people buying cracked versions.
It's complicated. If people want to play minecraft and can't afford it, I'm fine with them playing it cracked. If they have enough money to buy it and decide for some strange reason that they don't want to pay for it, there's a problem.
I honestly don't care. America is falling apart at the seams and with so much confusion, bickering, suing, and arguing over copyrights and licenses, it's just easier to leave them be.
True, I don't like the fact that they're not paying, but again, look up America's draconian laws over copyright and DRM. It's so much doublespeak with tons of conflicting arguments that it would probably be better to toss out the book and start anew. On Slashdot, a user pointed this out; every time the Copyright on Mickey Mouse is about to expire, they extend it another decade.
Let them buy cracked, there's enough of us paying for it to justify the means.
If cracked players can't play on servers, how do people get onto servers with hacked clients? Not just cracked, one with hax. I doubt they would need to put in a legit username and password.
I don't really care, and hating them would be hypocritical of me since I've used a couple torrents for things as well...
There's no need for a cracked version!
Just place a random name , no need for a password and you'll be able to play in Offline mode.
... Maybe that's just for registered user. Not sure though.
No, Most people I know who play cracked minecraft can't afford it at the moment or couldn't use anything to pay online. I started playing minecraft on the cracked account and bought it not long after. The ones who never plan to buy it are the ones I hate.
I hate it when people crack a game and expect to recieve support when the game doesn't work, or when they don't know what they're doing in the game etc. Or why mods don't work (other cracked games) etc etc. Or when they get mad at the devs for x,y, or z change. OR whey they don't have full features (like connecting to certain servers) Entitled.
Well, I got the game with an account, but after a strange mishap, i ended up having to use a cracked game for a feeww months before I got a new account, so i can't really say I hate them.

THats outrageous! How could such a major oversight be possible!?
thanks
Let's be friends...
Thanks,
Marv

Some of them want to try to get free premium with gift code. I was one of them. Until I got premium by gift code sent by server owner.
Even now, I dislike that Minecraft's overall price has tripled, but that's just me.
I used to use cracked minecraft to preview the game before they had these new fangled "demo modes". Now, there's just no point to it.

Same reason as how this got passed http://yro.slashdot.org/story/12/12/13/1737240/nctc-gets-vast-powers-to-spy-on-us-citizens. Our personal files are now forfeit. They probably were so busy that they didn't think about it.
